 The Republican 6th ballot jugernaught is rolling right along...Im just waiting for additional votes for Jeffries.  Yep, the 20 votes are available to be added to Jeffries fine collection. The one person voting present gets my awsome vote....she sure had a pissed look on her face. 

Having stayed at the WILLARD and knowing some party may be playing the hotel rates wow...nothing can be finer...Im for another week...Sorry President Trump;......its the Willard and whatever the conservative discount at the TRUMP EMPOREAM will never reach the historical high you receive from being at the WILLARD.

As a INDEPENDENT thank the good lord...no more phone calls to donate money or requests to support various 3 ways...id still be in confession.  After my service in the Phillippines  near Angeles City; i have seen hell and can voulch that hard work is not inflationary but cost do rise when the population increases.

Im happy to see additional people writting.....I still enjoy just about everything i read.... hats off.

I have been blessed to live in and near Dobson Ranch (I live in Park Place). Its about 99.9% Republican and highly conservative.  I still can run out and flip off Richard Nixon as the need occurs-only in my back yard

Dennis and Jim--You two could qualify as Stand-up Comics.  On second thought, at our ages, sit-down comics. One of the biggest jokes in the Infrastructure Bill is the 20,000,000 (20 million) dollar Bird Watching "Walking" Bridge being built in South Phoenix.  I hope they name it--------The Bird Brain Bridge!!

Michael K.---I hope they continue to vote for a Speaker for 2 years.  Maybe we won't continue to waste money and the clowns in Congress will actually be required to read spending Bills so they "Know What's In It"!  Americans who are trying to "WORK" their way up will have the Government kick them in the teeth with taxes, to pay---for those flakes that won't work.  I wonder how the original Founding Immigrants (I.E. Mayflower) treated their shipmates that refused to work after they made landfall in Our Country, and wanted money from those who were working?  I'm betting the flakes weren't invited to Thanksgiving?

Talked to a friend who's Daughter is a Public School Teacher in Az.  Her school is losing many of the better students to Charter Schools.  She tells him that there are more and more Border Crossers going in to the school who either can't speak English or struggle with English and she can't spend as much time with her American Citizen Children and she thinks her Public School is being dumbed down because she can't spend as much time with her American Students.

The House vote for speaker is getting nauseating. Same votes, different day. I saw one vote for Trump one day; then Matt Gaetz actually nominated him. This was a wasted nomination and vote since Donald Trump is not a member of the House. Gaetz, one of the leaders of the 'never McCarthy movement,' must be grasping at straws to find someone to support. In a way, I agree with the Freedom Caucus's disagreement with McCarty. He has said and done some things I disagree with as well. But they say he will hold up the investigations and hearings that need to be done. But they seem to be negligent of the fact that as long as they keep up this circus in the House, they are the ones holding up these needed actions. The vote is always the same. 20 against, and 200-201 for. I call this a stalemate. In my opinion, they should elect McCarthy and get things moving. McCarthy has agreed to allow a recall vote of the speaker, something Pelosi would never allow.

The constitution gives us a Constitutional Republic, but we also have a representative democracy. What we are seeing on the right side of the house is this style of democracy in action. This is a 'bottom-up style of democracy. The democracy of the left is a top-down democracy where they do whatever their leader tells them to do. Then, like sheep, they follow that lead into the slaughterhouse. 

Having said all this, I would be remiss in not reminding Bible believers here that the Kingdom of God will be a top-down government with a king in the form of Jesus Christ ruling with truth, fairness, and love.

I just tuned into CSPAN to see how the votes were going. Someone nominated Jordan again. Jim Jordan does not want to be the speaker. He wants to chair the intelligence committee so he can go up against the congenital liar Schiff. He has made that clear.

Actually something I learned through this House fiasco is that a person doesn't have to be in the House of Representatives to be Speaker of the House.  Seems kind of crazy to me, but that's the rule!!

Mike k.--Nancy had her group whipped in shape!  Of course I think Pelosi was born Italian in Chicago.  By the way, where was Al Capone from?   Did anyone notice that when the House opens sessions they give the United States House Representatives "the option" of saying the Pledge of Allegiance?  Why wouldn't a U.S. Representative not want to pledge allegiance to the U.S.?  Where is their allegiance if not the U.S.?

Well, McCarthy is Speaker.  At least that's settled.  Is this a good thing?  How would I know?  Some say that due to the "Negotiations"  with the Freedom Caucus, he's toothless.  I severely disliked even the air that Nancy Pelosi breathed, but she was powerful and knew how to fight dirty.  The Republicans, in my opinion, do NOT show that they are good fighters.  Some say that Biggs, Gaetz, Good, et al used their time as "Negotiators" to gain the limelight (TV Time...Fame) as "true patriots" trying to drain the swamp (Who's The Liar?) and raise donations because of their "show." (Follow The Money).  I think it's all bullshit.  I just hope McCarthy can get some things done like stop funding for 87,000 IRS agents, Secure The Border, and wield the so-called "Power of the Purse" effectively and in behalf of We The People.  Frankly, I think this whole thing has been theatre and until proven wrong, I believe that MOST Republicans are as much members of the much-maligned swamp as are MOST Democrats.  Why don't we all hold our breath until the House passes a Term Limit Bill, shall we?  I simply hope to survive a while longer and die without being ground down by politics.  Group Homes and Assisted Living homes are VERY expensive.

P.S.  Mike Kelly.  I respectfully disagree that McCarthy is "good" Presidential material.  He always struck me as "greasy" and I have never trusted him.  After all, he's a POLITICIAN.
