I never actually met Dennis in person, although I felt I knew him pretty well. He had a warped sense of humor (I LOVE that) and his missives about his travails with "rogue Nuns" in elementary school were hilarious. He was a little bit Mark Twain, George Carlin, Democrat, Republican and just a sweet, non-offensive guy that you would love to meet for a beer. Sadly, I don't think he ever attended a Beer Summit, although he was invited and always welcome.
My heart and condolences go out to his wife, Barb and his children Andy, Chris and Kathy. I think Dennis will be missed by many and I'm sure he's held in the arms of Jesus right now to help him along the way.
Rest In Peace Dennis. I believe you were a good man.
Dennis and I became friends thru freshman "B" football. At an enormous weight of 129#, we joked about how we could handle any offensive line. Gonna miss the guy. He was always a good friend.
