Hey Doug, would you mind if I changed your comment from days to years? I prefer the longer connotation of time. Happy New Year.

Although I never reported on the"Forum" my resolution for last year, I resolved to not call Lyin Biden a crooked piece of dog crap.  I actually achieved my resolution.  So this year, since it went so well, I am again resolving to not call Lyin Biden a "crooked piece of dog crap" on the "Forum".  Thanks!!

Frank. Since I made no such resolution, I feel I am free to call Lyin Biden a crooked piece of dog crap.  So:

LYIN BIDEN IS A CROOKED PIECE OF DOG CRAP!

Now that the celebrations are over and we have enjoyed the humor and merriment of the holidays, I feel it's time to get back to some serious business.

I am quickly losing my faith in the Republican party. After the disgusting vote in the senet where even our only good Senator from my state voted for, and now the possibility of House members splitting the vote for a Speaker that could put an extremist lift-wing radical in the speakership nullifying our majority, I can see that there is a drastic need for an overhauling of the party. We need strong leaders in the Senate and the HOR. In addition, we need a strong leader in the chair of the RNC. If these required changes don't happen soon, I will leave the Republican party and become a conservative independent. However, I will still consider myself a Constitutional Federalist.

Sorry to be posting negatively this soon after the new year, but we are going through some serious life-altering days.

The questions I have for the Republicans versus the Kevin McCarthy Speakership are these; A. Why Facts--not Gobbledygook (Jim C. yes, it's a real word). B. Who will be a better Conservative Replacement, and Why that person over McCarthy? This pointless bickering is a waste of Time and we are already seriously in the negative on that TIME! You really need to pull on the bottoms of both of your Ears and get that loud popping sound signifying that tight seal is broken! Address the REAL ISSUES PLEASE THIS BICKERING IS INSIPID!

Frank, well done for not calling Biden a lying  piece of dog shit. He really only is a lying evil criminal protected by the news media and the "Justice" Deportment. Happy New year!

We had a Classmate who's name was or is Elaine Marcus.  I wonder if she was related to Bernie Marcus?  So who's Bernie Marcus.  He was one of the founders of Home Depot.  He has just had an article published that talks about how lazy Americans are getting (if the shoe fits)!!  He also points out that we are moving towards socialism very rapidly and backs that up based on all the Americans who are satisfied with just taking Government money with no guilt.  In addition he supports his claim by pointing out how many open jobs there are compared to unemployment.  We have never been in this scenario in the History of Out Country.  I completely agree with him!!

I am so excited now that Republicans control the House. They can now secure the border and reduce inflation. That is why they were elected.

Frank.  Just shopped at Safeway.  Shelves are thin.  Eggs are $7/doz.  Fuji apples are $1.95/lb.  Deli has been closed for 2 years and the individually wrapped ham or turkey sandwich slices they usually have out were not there.  Asked a lady.  She said they are so short handed that they can't keep up with even the minimum.  Our favorite lady at Customer Service whispered to me that "nobody" wants to work.  Thank you Mr. Biden.

AMERICA FIRST!!  SECURE THE BORDER!!

P.S.  Nancy and the Dem's. are laughing at "us" right now.  We can't even do this Speaker-thing right.  Once again it looks possible that the Republicans are going to shoot themselves in the foot.  Too bad the next election is 2 years away.  There are 3 guys in the House from AZ led by Biggs who are anti-McCarthy, but won't say what they would do to make things better.

Hi Jim, I have written on this Forum previously that the best thing my Parents ever gave me is "Work Ethic". I don't know what in the hell Parents are teaching their kids now.  Mike L.--If you drop a open gallon paint can it only takes a second.  But it takes a long time to clean it up.  The same goes for Inflation and the Border.

Watching the House Vote on Speaker of the House I hope Im not watching the Republicans destroy the only Hope of Closing the Border and opening up the Fossil Fuel Energy Production and thereby stopping A full blown Depression. This is not Cute, I'm not amused, humor about BS is lost on me. REPUBLICANS DEALING AWAY THE ONLY VICTORY OF "THE RED WAVE" IS JUST PLAIN OLD STUPID!

A few idiot Republicans don't remember what founder Ben Franklin said during the Revolution.  It was something to the effect of--"If we don't stick together, we will hang alone."

Frank W. Yes, "childishness" is the predominant fault. I quit watching and am watching RepoMan. They repo planes, jets, and cars.

Frank, I was communicating with Elaine on FB and later on Messenger. She lives in the LA area and is liberal/progressive leaning. So, I doubt she is related to him. However, she wouldn't  be the first liberal that departed from her parents. The republicans can wreak a wet dream. Mike Kelly, if China would only repo The Biden family crime syndicate.

Bill Rihs et. al. A comment for the Republicans and their lame excuse for demonstrating Leadership, Sen. KENNEDY(R-LA.) says it best "You can't complain about the mud in the Creek if you don't do anything to keep the Pigs from getting in it." 3 Votes today and the Repubs still cant stop bickering over ??? Notice how the Dems show total solidarity behind Hockem Jeffries who attended Moscow U, and not the one in Idaho either.

Just read a good article about Crypto.  Author says his biggest problem with Crypto is that there are so many Crooks involved in it.  (I.E. drug cartels) because they can move money around everywhere in the world without Government intervention or oversight.

Mike L. Don't worry. The Republicans are not yet in control of the House. The Democrats are solidly behind their Socialist Communist Hakeem Jeffries. If the Republicans are not careful and keep playing this ridiculous game, Jeffries will become the speaker, and he will control the house. The Republican majority will be muted. I don't understand what is happening to the Grand Old Party. Perhaps many of them have sold their soul to the devil. I think it may be time for true conservatives to think about starting a third party. It may take years to take root, but as it stands now, I don't think I can support the Republican party any longer unless serious changes are made.

Mike Lorts.  Your post #8855 came across as slightly snarky, BUT, I get it.  I'm on board with you if you can possibly imagine that.blush  One thing missing from your post is that Mr. Biden still owns a pen and can veto damned near anything the Republican House passes IF it ever gets to his desk.  Just about the only thing a Republican House can do alone is write decent bills (IF that's even possible) and pass them up the line and try to work within the so-called "power of the purse" that belongs to the House.  If Biden and the Senate shoots them down, at least the "R's" can say in 2024 is.....See?  Here's what we tried to do for the country and we were outnumbered by that veto pen.  Politics is a dirty game and I hate it.

I am....right at this moment...embarrassed with and disgusted by the Republican House members as they (not to be redundant) shoot themselves in the foot AGAIN!  Politics makes me sick.  I'm disgusted by the "R" House members and Trump at the same time.  However, the overall policies of the "R's" and Trump coincide with my beliefs.  But, I abhor the process.

Right now all "D's" are laughing at "us."  You know who else is?  China, Russia, Iran, No. Korea, half the Middle East and the cartels to the South.....not to mention some of our so-called allies.  I believe they ALL see the United States as a paper tiger and that does NOT sit well with me.

Right now we are in a situation with the current numbers in the House that ANY 5 House members can hold up progress and blackmail the leadership to do....whatever.  That, as you know, is not the way this train is supposed to run.

In conclusion:  Politics is a numbers game.  First, get the numbers (in the House) and then grind out compromises behind the scenes.  This game being played by 5 to 20 Republicans is the wrong path.  I will compare this to the Border Crisis.  FIRST, secure the damned border and then figure out what to do with all of the illegal aliens who are in the country....BUT stop the INVASION!

AMERICA FIRST!!  SECURE THE BORDER!!  ELECT A SPEAKER!!

Jim, you're taking the words right out of my mouth. The Republican party is divided. Abraham Lincoln said, "A HOUSE DIVIDED AMONGST ITSELF CANNOT STAND." Referring to the scripture in Matt, 12.25. The Republican side of the House is severely divided. Republicans in the House have promised to start investigations and to defund some of Biden's crooked bills passed by the Dems. But this unconscionable game some of them are playing will only slow that process and perhaps end it if Jeffreys is chosen to be the speaker.  And you wonder why I am so disgusted with Republicans right now. Republicans need to get their shit together or lose everything.

FOR THE NEW HOUSE: NO MORE "HAYSTACKS" Bills that are 2, 3, or 4 Thousand pages long and civer money by the Multiple Millions for Issues only some small group cares about! Republicans elect a Speaker and let the Real Circus begin!

McCarthy must be asking himself, what do I have to do to become Speaker? I have kissed so many asses my lips are raw. Unfortunately for him is he kissed Trumps ass so many times that Trump's ass was chafed and now Trump's endorsement is almost worthless.
