How many times did we hear Joe Biden say, "My son's done nothing wrong!"?  How many times have we heard Joe Biden say, "Just pay your fair share!"  When it comes to taxes?

Frank,

Do you remember the old saying, ' Birds of a Feathers 'etc, etc. ?.....Also, my Wife is a very intelligent woman, who learned at a very early stage in her life the different between right or wrong. That's why she has been a life long Conservative Republican. She watches the news on the tube, and also reads the news articles daily, just as I do. The reason I bring this up is because she has a saying which I truly believe, which is ' I have never met a logical liberal, they think with emotions instead ' !!..........

YEP! to what DeWitt said in #11816.  The only thing I can add is "Happy Rama Lama Ding Dong!"  Now, that'll take you on a trip in the Way Back Machine.

This comes under the heading of....If it wasn't so true, it would be really funny.  Saw this on a serving tray in a very eclectic shop in Scottsdale today:  "EVERY JEWISH HOLIDAY SUMMED UP:  They tried to Kill Us.  We survived.  Let's eat!"

SAME SHOP.  COCKTAIL NAPKINS:

Shut up liver, you are fine.

Behind every strong independent woman are her dogs following her to the bathroom.

Anyone getting to the point where it would be OK if Jolene came and took your man?

Remember the day when you'd tell your parents you were at a sleepover, but you were dying of alcohol poisoning in a field?

HO, HO, HARRRUMPH!!

Jim, "Happy Rama Lama Ding Dong!" to you too. Like I said, whatever rings your jingle bells.

I've finished reading, "To Rescue the Constitution".  I highly recommend it (as I've said before).  Probably George Washington's biggest accomplishment was that he stayed neutral (although he had strong beliefs) but was the glue that held the States United.  The Revolutionary War was only the start of the conflicts.  For years there were people that wanted us to go back under British rule.  There were many verbal battles between those that wanted States rights and those that wanted Federalism.  Thanks!!  N.S.--Jim and De Witt, how about, "Ow-E, ow ah ah, ting-tang, wallie-wallie, bing bang"?

Dennis,

As usual, your posts are great, with the right amount of humor, and truth. But, I have to tell you, your post # 11812 had me in stitches, especially your last paragraph, I cannot stop laughing, I wish I would have thought of that.......

I agree with Mike K.--Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and to our Jewish Classmates--Happy Hanukkah!!  2024 could be a good one?  If you get a chance---watch "The History of A Christmas Carol" on FOX Nation narrated by Kelsey Grammer.  I think you'll really enjoy it.  I learned alot about Charles Dickens.

Something for Christmas that is Very Special to do is buy a Wreath to place on a Veterans Grave.  Our "Vets for Vets Club" purchases and places the wreaths.  Last year I placed a wreath on about 25 graves.  The grave that impacted me the most was the one, in our little town, that was a grave of a Veteran who was killed in the Civil War.

Christmas is all about the Birth of Jesus Christ. He is the reason for the Season. His is the only Message where His Divinity represented a Sacrifice of a Human Being whose unique Birthright allowed God our Creator to Create a Sure Path for Salvation, a Guarantor of Eternal Life, to Everyone who both Believed, Accepted, and Willed to Live because of God's Divine Promise to Us, no matter who we are, or have been, the Gift of Eternal Life Forever.

Our World is a teffible Mess. The New Testament of the Holy Bible Book of Revelation has preddicted some of the very things that are now taking place in our World. The Hatred that is being revealed is predicted in this Book in the Bible. No one else has written a Prophesy so accurate, and so laden with Warning Signs.

Instead  of bickering abuut  the politicians, the  troubles we all see and solutions. for  there is not going to be real resolution until Jesus Christ returns and Changes Forever what this Sin Deceived World has become, we should  Pray for God to intervene and that He Deal with our Own Sins and that We Repent.

I hope I am wrong, and I have a good Western Hat I will eat if wrong, but I feel as if we may not even see Another Christmas. The new catastrophes that we hear about every day, are probably not reversible unless we have Divine Intervention.

What Nation is so utterly Blind and Insipid as to give money in the Billions to an Avowed Enemy. it is America and the recipient Iran. This doesn't happen by sheer coincidence. We are like rank amateurs trying to float the Colorado River without Life  Preserver or Raft.

I only hold out Hope for Our Nation because I see events taking place that I attribute to the Hand of God intervening in the affairs of  Man to allow more of his Creation to  come to believe in Him

Richard.  I'm afraid I will have to admit that I read the first sentence of your post #11800 because it started with the word Jim.  It was an asinine "yes or no" question asking "If I will stop beating my wife."  Again, I don't know if you're trying to be funny.  You ain't.

But, I will say that's not the question that should be asked.  The  question should be **When will I start beating yousmiley?**  It's a context driven question, I guess to go along with the presidents of three of our most "prestigious universities" responses to inquiries from Elise Stefanik regarding ....oh you know what it's regarding unless you've been under your bridge.

**Before the slavering left flips out, this was meant to be a joke as evidenced by the smiley face.

MK,

After reading the sermon in your last post (11827)it dawned on me where I have recently seen you. You were on a downtown street corner with a sandwich board that said The end is near! What a beautiful Christmas message of hope and love.❤️

Seriously, Mr. Lorts.  When's the last time you drove from your upper class neighborhood to downtown Phoenixsmiley?

Mr. Lorts  Happy Sunday! Actually, through the Wonders of AI, there are thousands of my look=alikes parading the streets of every major town and City in the USA, carrying that same Bread Board sign, THE END IS NEAR. Its truly amazing what a small Tin Cup and that Sign will bring in. AI is quickly making me a Millionaire. Are you interested in a Franchise, Available in most Countries.????

SUNDAY FUNNIES

I was in the six items or less lane at the store quietly fuming.

Completely ignoring the sign, the woman ahead of me had slipped into the check-out line pushing a cart piled high with groceries.

Imagine my delight when the cashier beckoned the woman to come forward, looked into the cart and asked sweetly, "So which six items would you like to buy?"

Wouldn't it be great if that happened?

Some of my friends exercise every day.  Meanwhile, I am watching a show I don't like because the remote fell on the floor.

Someone said "Nothing rhymes with orange."  I said, "No it doesn't."

Jim, Thanks for the funnies!!  I haven't been in the mood!

Jim, when are you going to admit you read every word I post. You’re not fooling anyone, but maybe yourself. As for the question I asked, anyone with a high school education would know it was meant to point out that some questions just shouldn’t be answered with a yes or know. You already knew that because; 1) you graduated with a high school education (yes, or no?); and 2) you went on to reference my words about the congressional hearing, which you wouldn’t have done unless you read my entire post.

As for your humorous remark about you beating me, it was just as humorous as my earlier remark about your packing, to which you took offense. Make up your mind, what humor is acceptable and what isn’t.

While I have your attention, can you please let us all know why you keep referencing the motto of the 1930/40s Nazi backed and financed antisemitic group that called for the elimination of all Jews in American and/or the sterilization of any additional Jews immigrating to America. – America First was the slogan used by the American First Committee that had over 450 chapters in America with over 800,000 members (when the population of the USA was below 130M) and the Ku Klux Klan in the 1920s. During his run for president, Pat Buchanan even used it every time he praised the work of the America First Committee. Your bumper sticker AMERICA FIRST!! really makes you look like you must relate to these groups. And yes, Trump revised it again during his presidency so it must be a good slogan, right? Or is it just another attempt to hide an arcane reference into Trump’s speeches like so many others used by Stephen Miller, Trump's senior advisor and political speech writer, who writes almost everything trump reads off a teleprompter, including the word ”vermin,” a Nazi used word to refer to Jews. Remember how the far right went ape when Hillary used the word “deplorable”? Maybe this is just another way Trump is getting retribution.

If you insist on ending almost all your posts with a list of bumper sticker slogans, perhaps you should edit this one to:

AMERICANS FIRST!!  ALL AMERICANS!!

I was mistaken when I said lberals excelled at bending over and provided another use for crisco.  Im sorry I said such a degrading thing about crisco.  In truth it should of been 10w motor oil....generic would be acceptable.

I don't think of progressives as liberals.Progressives think, Liberals don't.  Liberals are why we have every form of terror coming across our boarders.  Why, because they don't want to offend other liberals, and they compete with who can be the most generous. Liberals have made the drug cartels; to function at such a level of pure efficiency.  Its a dangerous cycle; cartels bring in the new residents who have been spoon fed the ours is yours country.  Bring the illegarants in and relocate to Alaska where they can wait for their time in court. On the buses we can show movies of Cimbola and the golden sidewalks.  The drug cartels wouldn't like this especially with uncle sugar not giving out free golden tickets..The gangs arn't going any further than New York City;  especially for a drug route to bearville.   Lets see if the indian nations would allow guest; probably not, they are aware of uncle give and take programs. The Puerto Ricans have had enough of our generous nature and if they are as smart as I believe they will leave New York for Lukeville ...hell they are already citizens.

With Liberals in charge whats another war after killing kids..

This post is mainly intended for he who shall not be named (you know who you are).

The slogan PARENT'S RIGHTS!! is often shown at the end of certain posts on this forum. For once, I agree!!!!! I think it is a patent’s right to be held accountable if they don’t teach their children basic common truths and courtesies. Otherwise, how will children ever grow up to live in a world where society measures them in their actions? It should not be solely the responsibility of the school system to teach things like:

  • It's wrong to disrespect or make fun of those who are disabled and/or less fortunate than yourself.
  • It’s wrong to measure a person’s worth based on the color of their skin or their religious beliefs.
  • It’s wrong to bully and harass someone just because they may not wear what you think is the right clothes or subscribe to the same customs as you.
  • It’s wrong to disrespect your teachers or any elders.
  • It’s wrong to threaten, or even use, a weapon to scare or hurt another person.
  • It is wrong to demean another’s religious beliefs or how they may have been persecuted in the past.

As of June of 2022, laws mandating education in the Holocaust were on the books in Austria, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, the Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Likewise, twenty-three states in America have laws mandating the teaching of the Holocaust, including Florida [1994 F.S. 1003.4(2)(g)] and Arizona (2021 HB 2241). Maybe parents should reinforce this education at home.

Likewise, it is the parents’ right, and their responsibility, to teach their children that there have been times in America when it was generally acceptable to treat certain groups of people differently, and not for the better. Of course, if the parents have never been taught these lessons, or worse, they have but just don’t care, how are these kids ever going to learn that their behavior today will determine what sort of person they will be when they grow up and take their place in society? I wonder if those who complain about the behavior of today’s college students believe their parents bear any responsibility for their actions.

The current far right thinking seems to be that it is okay for teachers to be ostracized and even be punished if they attempt to teach these principles in the classroom. But if parents aren’t held accountable to teach their kids the right behavior, and if educators aren’t allowed to teach our kids these basic human principles when they directly observe them being violated, then how are the kids ever going to learn? Maybe we should put a camera in every classroom and when Johnny or Suzie demonstrates behavior that the teacher believes needs to be corrected the parents must come to the school, watch the video, and explain to the school administers what they are going to do to correct the situation.

The reason I have been thinking about this, and thus this post, is what has recently occurred with the fifteen-year-old boy who was given multiple life sentences for the murder of several schoolmates. The state of Michigan has also charged his parents with aiding and abetting his behavior by allowing him to buy a gun before he was legally allowed to do so. While drastic, I for one believe it is these parent’s right to be held actionable for their behavior.

So again, may I suggest the bumper sticker PARENT'S RIGHTS!! be modified. Perhaps it should be:

PARENT’S RIGHT TO TEACH THEIR KIDS PROPER BEHAVIOR!!

Richard, amazing as you may think, I totally agree with you on parents rights and responsibilities. Liberal policies and practices have contributed to this big problem. A very good discussion, thanks!

Jim,

It is my belief that the sole responsibility of any teacher, is to instill the basics, which we all grew up learning, math, reading etc., into our children period. It is NOT the responsibility of any teacher to teach anyones young children the facts of life concerning queers, trans, men trying to be women, women trying to be men ( an impossibility, which cannot bear fruit ), or any other of the socialist deseased, insane beliefs. If at the proper age, determined by their parents, and only by parents, it is their perogative if they want to inform their children of the pure evils in this world !....Here is an example : When my Wife's daughter was six years old, she came home extremely upset, and crying because her teacher told her that she might be a dyke, after of course, explaining just what a dyke meant. Being horrible upset, my future wife, immediately took both of her young daughters out of this school, and inrolled them a Catholic school, which she herself had attended her entire life....There are millions and millions of other examples occurring through out our country at this time, from the socialist regime, literally trying to infect our children. THUS, the uproar of these parents nation wide..............

Parent's Rights to Guard Against Pure Evil......!!!

The LA Dodgers just gave a pitcher $700Million. I don't begrudge that pitcher getting that ridiculous amount of money. There are scores of athletes getting millions. Those salaries come from revenue from ticket sales, souvenir sales and broadcast contracts. All of the money comes from the public. However teachers struggle to make ends meet. Teachers whom we entrust to educate our most valuable commodity , our children. It might be a good idea to pay teachers a salary commensurate to the responsibility.
