Anti semitism goes back thousands of years. Even if you do not believe in the Old Testament of the Bible, it still can be regarded as a history of those times. That history has been proved by the archeological findings that show many of the places and people did exist. The grandson of Abraham, Jacob (name changed to Isreal), Had 3 sons who each fathered the tribes, or nations, of Isreal. The Jewish people today are descendants or gentile converts of Judah, one of the sons of Jacob (Israel). From the beginning, Israel had to fight for its very existence, even up to the time they first arrived in Jerusalem and the land God had promised them. Today, it is mostly the Jews that remain in Israel, and they still have to fight to survive. The other tribes, or nations, have disappeared into the fabric of different nations around the world. But now it seems that we are having to fight for our survival as well.

Katie, I hope you’ve enjoyed your time away from the forum and are rested up going into the holidays.  I’ve tried my best to keep Jim and his dominions entertained during your and Earl’s respite, but it is good to have you back and read your takes on current events.  But you know me, I still need to add my two cents worth, so here it goes.

On hybrid batteries, when my Prius approached the end of its 100,000-mile full warranty I took it into my local Toyota dealership and asked if there were any recalls or recommended service, I should have taken care of before the warranty expired.  None of the 4 -5 service reps available could answer my question so they called for another service rep, one dedicated to a large fleet of Prius taxis sold and managed by their dealership.  This Prius specialist explained to me that of the over 350 Prius he had dealt with to date he had only seen one whose hybrid battery hadn’t lasted at least 400,000 miles, or until the car was taken out of service for some other reason (mostly accidents).  The dealership had replaced the one battery at around 200,000 miles and the cost to do so was about half that of replacing an internal combustion engine in a similar sized vehicle.

I know a lot of people have concerns about what will happen to EV batteries when they reach their end of life, but an entrepreneurial immigrant has come up with a brilliant way to recycle them instead of sending them to a land fill.  Turns out they can be resized into smaller batteries for use as replacements for cell phones and other similar lithium battery devices.  Even though as a car battery they may only have a fraction of their original capacity, as a battery for a much less power intensive device they have way more power left that can be harnessed.  Add this to the current movement by Apple, Samsung, LG and most the other cell phone providers who are redesigning their products to allow for easier repairability, including battery swap out that can be done by most end users, and soon a whole new industry will be born to buy back used hybrid batteries.

DeWitt, I’m anxious for you to read Prequel.  If your eyesight isn’t up to it, I found several online sites where it can be bought as an audiobook for as little as $4.99.

I am looking forward to hearing your take on how antisemitism ran rapid throughout all of America in the 1930s – 1940s as a plot by Germany to alienate Americans from one another and keep us from entering WWII.  I was amazed to learn how many US Congressmen and Senators were taking money from the Nazis to read German propaganda into the Congressional Record which allowed those same politicians to use American taxpayer funds to make hundreds of thousands of reprints to be mailed throughout America at no cost to the Nazis. 

As I was reading the book, I couldn’t help but draw a parallel between how mass media of those times – newspapers, magazines, flyers, direct mailing, etc. – was used to brainwash Americans in the same manner today’s methods of mass media – Tik-Tok, Facebook, X, Fox News, Camelback Message Forum, etc. – is used in an attempt to brainwash people into turning on each other as a means for Russia and China to weaken us as a country.

The most eye-opening things I learned in the book were how the Nazis sent people to the University of Arkansa school of law to study how American used its legal system to justify segregation and mistreatment of blacks and Indians and then copied what we did to apply it toward Jews in German.  Or, that Hitler had his own personal hero whose view of Jews was so antiemetic that he had his framed picture in his office mounted just behind his desk – Henry Ford.

Mike Kelly, I agree, we should all stop hating Jews.  But looking the other way as Netanyahu and his extreme far right coalition tries ethnic cleansing is not a way of achieving that goal.  My close friends in Israel tell me most Israelis now believe he knew an attack by Hamas was imminent and could be used to justify taking out Hamas once and for all, but he way underestimated the brutality Hamas would use.  Likewise, they believe Hamas’ decision to attack was that it would ultimately get the world’s attention and just might put enough pressure on Israel to commit to a two-state solution.  How many more people will need to die before calmer heads prevail and the mass killing of civilians stops?  I have no doubt at all that Israel can take out as many Hamas members as it wants without using carpet bombing.  Afterall, they spent years going after and killing nazis who fled all over the world after WWII.

For anyone who has not already done so, and I am assuming no one from the far-right has done so, you may want to take a few moments and read, word-for-word, what questions were asked of the presidents of Penn, Harvard, and MIT during the recent congressional hearing on antisemitism, and how they answered those questions.  As you do you may want to remind yourselves that these three people were already facing a hostile panel who believes anything having to do with a university is “WOKE”, whatever that is supposed to mean, and that one of the presidents is Gay, at least her name is, which means she must be a lesbian.

They were being asked a question which perhaps should be better answered by the Supreme Court :  Where does freedom of speech stop, and actionable threating begin?  Mike W. has said some very abhorrent things about how he feels about anything other than heterosexual behavior, but should he be denied his right to free speech until he acts on those feelings?  According to the answers given in the hearing, the universities make every attempt to walk the fine line between hateful speech covered under the First Amendment and actionable behavior.  If you disagree with that, please explain to us what you would do differently.

Damn Biden, now he’s done it.  He’s pissed off OPEC.  At their most recent gathering OPEC stated they weren’t pleased that with all the additional oil America is making available to the world that their most recent reduction of 2.2 million barrels per day did nothing to raise the price per barrel, and in fact it dropped.  At a price per barrel of under $80 once again Russia loses money on every barrel it ships.

If Biden doesn’t demand the US oil companies stop reopening all the wells they shut during the pandemic pretty soon Saudi Arabia will be demanding Jerad return the $2B they gave him for access to his father-in-law.

So, DeWitt, there’s no accountability to where the money used for Ukraine goes?  What do you think happens when congress approves more funding, that crates of $100 bills are shipped to Kyiv?  Or does it make more sense that the money is used to pay US companies to make more equipment to be sent to Ukraine or to at least replace what we send them out of our older and less sophisticated equipment that is sitting around gathering dust just incase a third world country ever declares war on us. 

And what are we getting for our money?  Not only has Russia depleted a large percentage of their war making arsenal, but they have also demonstrated to the world that even their most advanced weaponry is no match for US technology.  When Syri, Iran, and other non-democratic countries want to build up their arsenals don’t you imagine they will think twice before they spend their money on equipment that the Russians have proven is inferior to ours?

And how about China?  What, other than a whole lot more aging foot soldiers and nuclear bombs, does China have that might threaten us?  Sure, they are building more ships, but have you looked at what sort of ships they are building?  Its mostly small frigates and what they will need to project power in the South China Sea.  Of the bigger ships they are building do you think they would be any match for the numerous super quiet submarines the USA has positioned there?  They too must realize if we are supplying Ukraine with our older surplus equipment and armaments instead of our latest and greatest, they couldn’t stand up to a land attack.  Let them rattle their swords over Taiwan.  By now I’m sure Taiwan has access to the same short range Iron Dome technology Israel uses and we can provide them with made in America Patriot missile batteries any time we want.  Have you been following how Israel, and we are using the Arrow-2 anti-missile missiles to thwart longer range drones and missile attacks?  The Arrow -2 flies right up to the lower atmosphere to intercept long rang attacks and there is even an Arrow-3 which has been developed that can be launched into space and brought back to hit a flying target anywhere in the world.  Sure, we’ve signed an agreement to not use such missiles, but heck, what’s a little treaty transgression when it comes to war with Russia, China, or any other nuclear armed country.

So, DeWitt, I’ll ask again, what sort of accountability do you want to see from Ukraine for the funds used to help them?  How about they send you a few dozen of their dead solders as proof they are using it to fight a war.  Let’s not take the word of American politicians that have traveled to Ukraine to see for themselves how it is being used.

China has the largest armed forces in the world, with over two million soldiers. The US has 1.39 million, which includes the woke, queer, & pregnant soldiers. Good luck with that ! They also have a larger Naval Power than we do. With us having a better Air Force. China also has more nuclear power than we do... And they can float spy ballons over the entire US, anytime they want to, because we don't have a real president in office. What has made me wonder about most?  We get alot of indept comments on every political Democrat-Republican person.  The amount of words leaves my small brain amazed. I am part of the He said, she said, they said and why did they say that,  I have to confess, I don't read all the words,,does that make me stupid? probaly; even tho im still able to chew gum, poop and pee, without having to change clothes after the event. Now for the the most curious; yes ME. take a look at your standings in the class of 725, class 1965 Camelback high. I wondered if those in the bottom thought about (me...cause thats where I was) the person who finished highest and the person who finished lowest (common you know who they were...and no  you don't have to give any names) its prossibly easier for me vs someone in the top 20 percent. because for me  person isn't the correct identifier and maybe I did finish higher than the lab rat in the biology class. or maybe not, and thats why I like cheese and crackers.  Im just glad I had all those hours of PE but, what about the top 20 or for that matter top 5 percent maybe some didn't take PE. (yes you had to take showers with others in the open shower bays...not sure about the ladies...i can't imagine it if their showers were open with the exception of PORKYS that has clouded my mind.

Now after all that; should we show how smart we think we are ? Because the country is on the shit sandwitch standard. We have groups who actually hate each other why, because it makes them feel superior.

How many Palestinians and Jewish people do we acturally know? Me only Jewish people and I would wear a Kippah. Do Palestinians have a hat as well? A keffiyeh I believe. I'm not sure I would wear one tho the patterns and colors are cool.  Why are they fighting...Hey Im for a homeland.  Now that Garza is a bomb site, its time to clean it up and plant trees and raise crops and have businesses...I just don't think putting people up in cities that resemble slums is good for anything or anybody. How hard would it be for the University presidents to say, "YES, IT IS AGAINST OUR POLICY, BUT BECAUSE WE ARE WOKE JEW HATERS, WE ALLOW IT ANYWAY!"
