Dewitt, your thoughts are valuable and yes we all make mistakes.  I regrett only one thing from st. thomas grade school; they would speak about Christ walking above the water in the lake.  Maybe, I shouldn't of asked how they stacked the stones so we all could walk across the lake.   Maybe it was just like the Indiana Jones movie of accept faith and walking into the cave for the cup of Christ.

My ear got stretched for the above incident and yes having a round pointer testing my knuckes for duribility was a nice touch too.  Sister loved using round pointers vs flat rullers I believe because they took carpenter classes and knew how to strengthen wood.

Dewitt, I may disagree with you at times and might be saying right on (how hippie ist I am lol) but not having you here would be a big loss.  you and I are human and we are suppose to make mistakes... I still regret the many lies I told teachers especially Sister Tiny but my life was important.  Tiny was very very big and I was scared of her falling on me...yep what an impression that would make.

Stay with us Dewitt.

One time I thought of leaving but some conservative Republicans were laughing at my downhome porncob humor. AND IM GLAD I STAYED

Dennis.

Hi DeWitt, I agree with the group.  Dennis, hearing your St.Thomas Nun stories remind me of the "Inquisition".  I'm glad the Nuns didn't have a stake!

Conjoined twins, connected at the hip, walk in to a bar in Canada sit on barstools and ask the bartender for two Molson beers.  The bartender, wanting to be friendly but feeling awkward serves the beers and asks, "Have you been on vacation yet this year?"  One of the twins says, " Not yet but we are going next week."  Bartender, "Where are you going?"  Other twin, "England, we go there every year."  Bartender, "So you get to drink some of that English beer?"  Twin replies, "We hate that swill!  Molson for us."  B.--"So you must like the people and culture!"  Twin--"No, the people are rude and we like modern things."  B.--So why do you go to England?"  Twin--"So my Brother can drive once a year!"

DeWitt- Please know that your thoughts, insights and opinions are valuable to this group of ours, not to mention valuable to your freedom of speech.  In a time when free speech is under heavy attack in so many places, don't let your speech be one of the casulties.  Stay put and stay you.

Interesting that the UAW is going on strike.  Right now inventories for the Big 3 are high and cars and truck sales are slowing.  Reportedly, there is a lot of inventory sitting on the ground at car manufacturing sites.  This could get interesting.

Hunter's indicted!!  3 charges!  David Weiss, the Special Council, got caught with his had in the cookie jar and is now throwing the book to save his Reputation.  Will Lyin Biden pardon him??  On July 28th KJP said definitively Lyin Biden wouldn't pardon Hunter!

AOC has been suspiciously quiet lately.  She's under investigation by the House Ethics Committee.  She listed her boyfriend as her Spouse so he could have his transportation paid for on her trips.  They are not married.  She's saying that a long term boyfriend should qualify as a Spouse.  Hmmm?  Of course, she thinks boys can be girls and girls can be boys!!

A Drunk and his Dog enter another Bar in the Afternoon after fleecing several Bars in the Morning, and the Drunk orders a drink. The Bartender pours him a round and he downs it. The Bartender says that will be 2 dollars and the Drunk says Look, if my Dog can say what you point to, will you set me up a Round on the House. The Bartender sets him up another Round thinking How could this dog possibly say what I point at. The Bartender sets the Round up in front of the Drunk and says "Okay, lets hear what this Dog will say" and he points up at the Ceiling. The Dog barks out "Roof, Roof, Roof" The Bartender is Disgruntled but watches the Drunk down the Drink, and then challenges the Drunk, saying Okay, if this Dog is so smart then for another Drink, have your Dog say the name of the Best player in Baseball ever. The Drunk smiles, and quickly downs the third Drink, and says No Problem. The Drunk says to the Dog 'tell him who is the best Player in Baseball Ever. The dog looks at the Drunk, grimaces, and barks out "Ruth, Ruth, Ruth" The Bartender yells out I thought so, that Dog is no Genius, and throws the Drunk and Dog out the Back Door of the Bar, and they land in the dirt and grease. The Drunk looks at the Dog and says, Hey What happened. The Dog looks at the Drunk, and said  "I keep telling you, Its DiMaggio, not Ruth"

I think the White House should go to A.I. as it's Press Secretary.  At least then, there would be some semblance of intelligence!

.I saw the white house briefing this morning and really liked seeing and hearing a new guy his name i believe is Gage.  excellent. a great sense of humor.... oh of couse he is Irish.   Saw an excellent bit of humor that was givng via venn diagrams.  now I know why I was having a tuff time studying to be an Accountant damm i wish i had OCD.  my problem was; i wanted to solve the problem ; and because of the occassional  Allison B. TokIs brownie didn't care if it was right or not.  I was their because it was full of other people who are funny in a numerical way. Most were quiet and didn't want to get involved with anything other than a higher GPA.  Many of the Accountants from class graduated because i had taken the test earlier and then told them what was on it...This turned me onto Finance... I wanted to be a stock broker... why.. they make tons of money... i felt I had the right combination of greed and wanting to make tons of money.  Besides most liked my sense of humor.

My sense of humor is very off balanced; i attacked everyone. including  the poor sisters, also known as nuns.

The way I looked at the nuns was for every stretched ear or pointer smashed knuckle  (i broke them all well before I played football) I would describe the secret ceremony of life in a parochial grade school. its probaly akin to mormons and the blessed underwear-of which it will be changing from what I read.

So kids in the future you get to see about life at St. Thomas, St. Mathews.  Most if not all were at St. Thomas.  Many of the things that happened at St. Mathews were suppresed because of fear.

Things I wished I did while at Camelback... sorry nothing dirty or sexual.  I wanted to take chemistry but as a favor to the class of 65 the buildings are still standing.  I loved mixing things like swinging at glass pickle jars with a wooden baseball bat.  Throwing darts up in the air and missing the board but making my nose.  Yep pulled the little sucker out and put a bandaid on it easy peasy.

Thanks, Jim loved the venn diagram.

Dennis.

Because some things just stimulate my Curiousity, especially if some "Body"  sorta like a public figure is free and easy with an expression, I like to check and see if they really know what they are talking about. It is just a bone for this old dog to pick if you will.

Anyway, I heard Kamala Harris, who used the Term Venn Diagram in a sentence where she stated that she professed to have a real infatuation with said Diagrams I checked Google to see what this well used source of terminology says about "Venn Diagrams"

Turns out you can employ Circles on Paper to set out the Qualities that two separate objects or entitiies possess and actually demonstrate where the two separate entities have Qualities in Common. Such as, Horses in one Circle, Donkeys in another Circle as two separate circles. Horses have shorter Ears than Burros, so in the Venn Diagram of Horses and Burros, they would not have Intersecting Circles as to the Size of Ears is concerned. Their temperaments are different, Size is different, so although they are similar in certain aspects, they are different enough to have Circles that don't intersect, but what Characteristics do they have in common? This is where the concept of a Venn Diagram comes in handy. So horses eat hay, so do Burros, they drink water, so do Burros, they consume Salt and Minerals, so they also have these characteristics in common. Their Venn Diagram's could be said to intersect.

So as a sort of Form of Practical Knowledge, we can Venn Diagram Kamala Harris, as Vice President, and Joe Biden, as President and Venn Diagram Him, and Find the Characteristics that each of them demonstrate so far in their Stint of Public Service, and where their Venn Diagrams intersect, and by doing so, actually accurately Discern what Qualities they have in Common, and whether They have Qualities that make them Fit to Hold office for Another Term.

Lets for example, use the Enforcement of the Immigration Laws at our Southern Border. Certainly we already know some characteristics they have in Common. Also we can use Rapidity of Response to Emergencies as a Characteristic they have in common. Or Willingness to Respond to Criminal Acts in the USA, or Crises in the Supply Chain for the Food Supply of the Entire Country. I know that using Venn Diagrams in this context are extremely useful, and Even maybe Instructive in Who to Vote For in 2024. Think About It

ONE LAST ATTEMPT

HUSBAND:  I want you to have this bracelet.  It belonged to my grandmother.  WIFE:  Why does it say "Do Not Resuscitate?"

TWO BIRDS SITTING ON A BRANCH.  First Bird:  "Chirp!"  Second Bird:  "Great.  Now I'm gonna have that stupid song stuck in my head all day." ***

My wife and I have the secret to making a marriage last.  Two times a week, we go to a nice restaurant and have a little wine and good food.  She goes Tuesdays and I go Fridays.

There are two ways of arguing with a woman.  Neither one works.

At the bank, I told the cashier, "I'd like to open a joint account please."  Cashier...."OK, with whom?"  Me.... "Whoever has lots of money."

THEM:  What inspires you to get out of bed every morning?"   ME:  My bladder, mostly.

A police recruit was asked during an exam...."What would you do if you had to arrest your own mother?"  The reply....."Call for backup."

***1-877-Kars For Kids!  K-A-R-S, Kars For Kids.  Now you'll have this song stuck in your head all day!!  Bwaa-hah-hah-hah!!!

Just returned from a British Isles cruise aboard Viking large (950) ship.   A couple things I wanted to share... One can actually ferry across the Mersey, there is a Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields.   Great tour with a guide that had a wealth of knowledge about the Beatles.   We took a morning and afternoon tour in Liverpool.   The morning guide was very profound.   Liverpool grew and  gained wealth on their cotton and slave trade.  As he said, "You cannot change history, but should learn from it.  If an explanation is needed, put up a plaque".   Europe also suffers from inflation like the USA.  In London what used to be government housing that could be rented for a reasonable price, was sold to investors by Margaret Thatcher to raise money.   Now the housing has priced young folks out of the market.  Sound familiar?   Gas... $1.53 a liter.  Liter is approximately .25 a gallon.  i.e. $6.00 a gallon! Spose you all saw the train headed to Arizona/Texas.   When will this idiocy stop?

The location you are referring to, 40th St. and Washington, was the old home of station 29 ! Which was later moved to the Air Port location. I drove at the old 29, many a time. They had an old, cranky, and kinda mean Captain back in the day, God Bless his Soul. Remind me to tell you about the time I took live rattle snakes to work there one shift...............

I don't know if any of you remember a Movie called the "Fight Club" which was a black and white grimy sweaty bloody portrayal of the lives and combats of Maniacs who took pleasure in beating each other rather thoroughly in the Movie. Well the Writer of this Book, which was made into this Cult Movie is Ed Pawhaniuk (sic) and he was on Jessie Watters this afternoon and mentioned his new Book called "That was Then and This is Now" which i have not read but may do because I know a little more about the Author of the first book. Anyway I thought it was amazing that the Author was particularly interested in letting the  nationwide audience know that his Books have the distinct Feature of being the only Books banned in all the Prisons in the  United States.

In the Movie "Fight Club" Brad Pitt makesthe Club Rules of the Fight Club of which there are 3, known to the Public.

If asked, You have never heard of the FIght Club!  if you are accused of being somehow involved with such an organization, You don't know of anything called the "Fight Club". If Hospitalized in Critical Condition and requiring extraordnary medical Care, and someone says you were injured there, you will deny knowing of the Fight Club.

Oh that the Elected Members of our Federal Legislature had such Adherence to the Oath of Office they took when they became Members of the legislative Branch of the Federal Government.

Jack  and David - Must be the summer of Viking cruises.  I'm currently in Greenland on the Viking Mars.  We sailed from Bergen with our final destination Montreal.  Our first stop was supposed to be the Shetland Islands butt because of bad (horrible) weather we had to go stop number 2, The Faroe Islands.  The weather was just awful with high seas and a very rocky boat until Greenland where it's sunny and cold but beautiful.  This is only my second Viking trip and I feel like a slacker.  Everyone I talk to has been on multiple cruises with Viking.  I'm not sure why I'm going on and on so I'll stop.

David, it is a small world!   Surprised you didn't run up and give me a hug.  I may have grey hair now and wear glasses, but I'm still 5'7"!    Cheryl, we were in Lerwick , Scotland on the 4th and it was cloudy, but no rain or storms.  I saw on FB when you were in Bergen.  One of our favorite towns.  Second time there.
