Regarding the impact on us from the illegal aliens.  The Yuma Hospital is now facing bankruptcy because of all the illegals they have to serve without being paid.  In addition we, paying customers, have to wait in line behind those who don't pay.  New subject--Those Damn Pelosi's are good.  A week before the Justice Department announced they were going after "Google" last week the Pelosi's sold a boat load of "Google" stock?  I guess a busted head didn't effect Paulie's stock trading capabilities??

Donald Trump kicked off his Presidential campaign last week in South Carolina. Not as much fanfare as we've seen before but a good beginning. I know that some on this forum are not excited about him being reelected, but so far, no one else has thrown their hat in the ring. Many have rumored that they may, such as Pompeo, Pence, and others. Some of you would like to see DeSantos run. But until I see who all the candidates are, and until the debates leading up to the 2024 primaries, I am still solidly n Trump's camp.

O.K.--Assignment for the "Beer Summit".  Come with your answer to: "The one thing I would do, if I was President, that would make everyone happy!!"

Frank. Politics? OK If no Dems present.

01/30/23 05:21 AM #9005

Frank Wiley

OK--but I said something that would make "everyone" happy.  I've got one, and since we can't present it at the "Beer Summit" here it is.  All Television programs and commercials have to be the same maximum decibel level!!

Frank.  I absolutely vote for the "Decibel Doctrine".

Parents Lesson--My Mother taught me about Hypocrisy---"If I've told you once, I've told you a million times, don't exaggerate!"   From my Father the Circle of Life--"I brought you into this World and I can Take You Out!"   My Mother--Behavior Modification--"Stop acting like your Father!"   My Father--About Anticipation--"Just wait till we get Home!"   My Mother about Being Receptive--"Your going to get it when your Father gets Home!"

There is such a high decibel level limit. It's called the PEAK decibel limit. Television shows usually only reach that level during action scenes when you notice the volume go up. However, commercials sometimes reach that limit more often to get your attention. I tested this myself with a VU meter. By the way, I studied a unit in TV broadcasting in college when I thought I wanted to be a cameraman. (Camera operator for the woke).

Frank. My mother taught me sex education. "You keep doing that, and you will go blind."

My Parents were German Heritage so we didn't discuss sex.  Breaking News--They are re-opening Alcatraz Prison.  It will house the Biden Presidential Library?

I Love It---The Sanctuary Stupid are getting their _____ handed  to them!  New York Sh___City  Mayor Eric Adams put illegal aliens in a reported $500 a night hotel.  Now they are trying to move them into a vacant cruise terminal and the illegals are revolting.  This is a "train wreck" that's probably not going to be cleared in our lifetime!!

1890 - The old man says to his buddy "when that idiot runs out of gas or breaks down I'll probably need to hook my horse up and tow him back to town.

Frank, you hit the nail on the head regarding decibel limits. Right on buddy. Mike Lorts, you may be right. Just keep in mind; it's just a trade off for what pollution you want to live with considering "Mother Earth" and costs to us humans and animals on the planet.

Saw on AZCentral.com Obituaries that Jim Feltham passed away.  I didn't know him, but knew of him.

Lorts.  Have you never seen even one zombie apocalypse movie??  When the world and the grid goes down, the horses will be eaten and the only thing running will be gas and diesel cars because there will be millions of them all over the country dead in the water (that's an analogy, Mike....or is it a metaphor?) and for at least a time, people will be siphoning fuel to power their pre-1985 vehicles.  Electric, natural gas, water, nuclear grids will all be shut down.  Hope you didn't get that Audi EV.  The way things are going, you're gonna need a gasoline powered vehicle.smiley

AMERICA FIRST!!  SECURE THE BORDER!!  BEWARE OF THE ZOMBIES AT THE GATE!!

Steam power is still the most environmentally Safe and most Volume Efficient of all fuels, and if contained the source, water, is then contained in a closed System, the Water can be reheated, to create Steam and it can be used to propel a Turbine. then the steam will be cooled and reused repeatedly. Just ask Bill Nye, the Science Guy!.

Mike Kelly.  Then there are "Gasifier's."  Learned that on "Mountain Men," an interesting TV show on the History network.

Mike Kelly, what you discribe is what all convental power plants use, steam cycle. I did engineering worh on them my whole career. In my later years I was responsible for engineering, construction and startup of a coal generation power plant as well as four gas fired plants. Coal, gas, oil, nuclear and even some solar plants use the steam cycle to produce electric energy.

Another successful "Summit", 4 presented their views-of-life, took drink and enjoyed the sketcky recalls of Camelback Days. No World problem were solved or Pol-A-Ticks confronted, but the ending of Happy-Hour did bring life to the sobering moments.

It was a good "Summit."  Lorts, you should have shown up.  You would have been surprised at how warmly you would have been received.  Think Scalia and Ginsburg.

On a lighter note....

This is my Mom speaking to me in 7th grade:  "Do you think I'm a bad Mom, Jack?"

My response:  "My name is Jimmy."

As a kid, did you ever knock on people's doors and run away before they could answer?  Well, guess what, UPS is hiring.

IF you can't afford a doctor, go to an airport.  You'll get a free x-ray, and a breast exam.  And if you mention Al Qaeda, you'll get a free colonoscopy.

I'm proud of myself.  I finished a jigsaw puzzle in 6 months.  The box said 2 - 4 years.

Where you from, darlin'?  Omaha?!  I spent a week there one night.  Buh-dump-bump!!  I'll be here all week!

GAFFE OF ALL GAFFE'S: Just recently, probably yesterday or early today, depending on where your goat is tied, pres.  biden made one of the most Huge of all Gaffes, and by doing so quite unknowingly, most likely came the closest to telling the Truth himself, and as an unintentional result about the "Global Warming" and/or "Climate Change" bilge I have heard to date. Biden, waxing eloquent and speaking in his most stentorian tones told us of pending Doom manner, stating that "...if we stay under 1.5 degrees CENTRIGRADE then we can avoid the worst catastrophe known to man, even more serious than the Threat of Nuclear Annihilation, and we will avoid Catastrophic Climate Change" This was Broadcast on every Major News Network although after reading this, it probably will be disappeared Mui Quicko Very Quickly for all you Homies.

Now the president is not known for being the sharpest pencil in the Box, but still, come on bidy boy, Get It Right

Last year I asked Google the question "How much has the Earth's temperature changed in the last 100 years?" The answer was The Earth's temperature has risen .04 degrees Fahrenheit in the last 100 years. Wow, that comes to over 100 more like 150 years before by our concerted effort we can make the Earth's temperature anywhere near 50.3 degrees Fahrenheit. Some here were incredulous, even chagrined at this Fact, but Facts are Facts.

The formula for converting Centrigrade to Fahrenheit is (1 degree Centrigade X 9/5) + 32 = 33.8 degrees Fahrenheit, so for Biden if we convert Centrigrade to Fahrenheit then by his own stated ALARMIST FORMULA then we ain't got much to worry about. We would have to increase by 50.3 degrees Fahrenheit the everyday average temperature of the Earth to get there  Thats about 140 years of concerted effort to increase THE WORLDS TEMPERATURE BEFORE we need break a Sweat. AND I AINT GOING TO BE AROUND THAT LONG ANYWAY SO I THINK I WILL GO OUT AND CELEBRATE AND BUY A JOHN KERRY SIGNATURE JET WITH THE BIG MOTORS AND FLY AROUND THE WORLD FIFTY TIMES AND ATTEND ALL THE GLOBAL WARMING CONFERENCES AND LIGHT BONFIRES AND COOK CHICKENS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CONFERENCE ROOMS USING NASTY OLD COAL FIRES ALA FIDEL CASTRO, AND LAUGH AT ALL THOSE SOBER FACES!

BUT IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT, GAFFE MAN DID HIS BIGGEST GAFFE YET, HE ACTUALLY TOLD US THE TRUTH FOR ONCE. ISN'T THAT REFRESHING!!! THANKS JOE!!!

If anyone ever gets up to around Thompson Peak Rd. & Hayden, there's a nice little restaurant called Ling's Wok Shop in the Fry's shopping center area.  It's tied to Ling & Louie's at around 94th St. & Shea.  Got it?  Here's the story.

We were in today for Chicken Kung Pao and Chicken Cashew Stir Fry.  Great!!  About $12 each.

OK, now here's the story.  The waiter was a young, tall dark haired man/child.  Very nice guy.  As he walked away, I thought I heard my wife mumble:  "Have him washed and brought to my tent."  I could be wrong.  What do you think she meant?

Michael K. Like you said, Joe isn't the sharpest pencil in the box. You know that he didn't come up with those figures on his own. He probably doesn't even know what a centigrade is. But I do plan on sticking around for another 140 years, so I will check your math then. lol. And don't forget to cook a lot of steaks on your trips. We got to keep those cows farting. :)
