Mike K.--Thank you for professional opinion.  I thought it was very interesting and logical.  One of the other very interesting things about the Quarter Horses is that they were bred for the Army and the Texas Rangers because they were strong and fast.  Dennis, good but sad story about your Mother.  When I was medivaced from Vietnam I went through Travis AFB Hospital.  That was April of '69.  Were your there?

I cannot express in words how frustrated....and angry I am with the Biden Administration.  We can't get a straight and consistent answer from any of them and we need to vote these people out of office.

"We", our military, have been attacked by several proxies (I hate that word)....let's just call it what it is....we have been attacked by radical Islamists operating under orders and guidance from Iran and we have done nothing about it.  We are showing the world how weak we are and the world is watching.  I will not debate this because it will all go back to MAGA this and that and I'm tired of that B.S.  It is what it is and you either believe or you don't.  I don't care.  VOTE!

Here's a question:  WHY do we waste ANY time or money on the toothless U.N.?  They are NOT on our side.  In fact, they have shown themselves to be anti-USA.  I say kick them out of the country and turn the building into low cost housing for AMERICANS...homeless Veterans, for example.  NO MORE money to people who HATE the USA and NO more money to support lawbreakers, AKA ILLEGAL aliens.  But, of course, this does not comport with the narrative of the far left in our country.

I have been pounding this Forum for well over 3 years that the greatest threat to our country is the OPEN Southern border.  Just this morning FOX showed APPREHENSIONS OF "SPECIAL INTEREST ALIENS" totals from 10/1/21 - 10/4/23 provided by Customs and Border Protection and the numbers were staggering.  I won't recreate the list here because it's a waste of my time.  Look it up.  Suffice it say that thousands were from countries THAT HATE US and those numbers in NO WAY include the gotaways.  The hyenas are inside the wire and we will pay the price because of Biden's feckless leadership.  Hell is coming and it's coming to "your" neighborhood.

SECURE THE BORDER!!  ENFORCE THE LAW!!  I'LL LEAVE THE REST ON THE SHELF FOR THIS MORNING.

P.S.  I just watched an Israeli post-doctoral student at M.I.T. interviewed on FOX.  That's right....FOX.  He said that he is planning to leave the USA with his wife and 3 children and go back to Israel because "at least there, he won't be surrounded by people (student protestors) calling for his death."

IT TAKES A DUMB ASS (and I am not talking about a Burro)  Had it with listening to idiocy about the Border Wall. If you give a damn about the Border, and reference into the time Trump was President, you will see that on two separate occasions, and it was on National TV, Trump invited Peloosey and Screwmer to the WH to get a Comprehensive Border Immigration Package passed, and this included the "Beloved DACA'S" who he was going to give basically a Free Ride to. Peloosey and Screwmer got up and walked out. In the package was the Funding to build a Border Wall which worked pretty damned Well untill hop scotching stumbling fools came along and Stopped It Cold. Trump was still able to get quite a few miles of it built because George Bush has gotten the Funding for it through Congress and the Senate, I believe it was 759 Millions of Dollars back then and it covered much of the Costs of Construction, and Trump used that unused part of :Legislation to try and complete it and was successful. So, here, Right Now, If we have an Attack within from a group of Illegals from HAMAS or one of the other killer names they go by, THEN DON'T EVEN WHISPER THAT DJ TRUMP IS SOMEHOW TO BLAME OR I'LL SEE HOW WELL YOU EAT WITHOUT YOUR  EYE TEETH. IDIOCY HAS CONSEQUENCES AND WE WILL PROBABLY FIND THAT OUT SOON ENOUGH.

Frank, i didn't go in until 1970.  After I got out they offered me reserve at Travis...didn't take it had all i could take with 4 years lol...and no way to get their... a hop from luke afb wasn't guarenteed. After I did clark I went to Beal afb in marysville the home of the SR71 a real small base a good size hospital... they would suit the pilots up theri.   It was a SAC base and I really liked SAC they treated me good. tho Maryville was north of Sacramento it was as dead as a place could be....just miles and miles of miles and miles.

I bet they sent you to Clark AB after Vietnam and then air lifted you out. on the nightengales the smaller jets. We did alot of that. Clark was the regional hospital and everyone seemed to go their. It was busy when I got their in 72,73....if your curious the hospital at Clark was haunted.. after the base closed it sat and sat and sat..Then just recently they are repairing it... check the hanting and the rebuilt on you tube.

I don't know much about Mike Johnson but Senator John Kennedy has endorsed Mike Johnson.  That's all I need!!  We need another Harry Truman--A good start would be to blast the crap out of Yemen since they have fired on us.  Have you ever gotten on Google Earth?  You can pull up your back yard and look a a tree in your back yard.  I'm betting we could find out exactly where these rockets are coming from, especially at night.  I don't want any civilians killed.  But think of this---if Hamas hadn't crossed into Israel, none of these civilians would have been killed!!  No one is to blame except Hamas and Iran!!!  It's easy for me to support Israel and the Jewish People------who blew up the World Trade Center?  Hi Dennis, We flew from Vietnam to Iwakuni, Japan where seriously injured were taken off the plane.  We then went to Hawaii to refuel, and then to Travis.  You Air Force people had the best food of all the Military Services!!

The vote in the House of Representatives was 412-10-6 with 9 Democratics and 1 Republican voting against the resolution in support of Israel. Six Democrats voted present.

While I think the vote for the resolution is clear on its face, it's also important to view the varied rationales of those who opposed the resolution.

In case some of you have forgotten, I am registered member of the Republican Party, one of the three major parties with members in the US House of Representatives, the other two being the Democratic Party and the Freedom Caucus. It pains me greatly to see the lengths those who are or claim to be republican representatives will go to drive more and more voters out of the Republican Party and into the status of Independent or Democrat. By electing Mike Johnson Speaker of the house this migration out of the GOP will certainly continue and almost assuredly pick-up momentum. How anyone who thinks our currently president and vice president, with all their real and supposed flaws, can be compared to the person who is now number two in line to become president, is beyond belief. If Steve Scalise was David Duke without the baggage (his own words), then Mike Johnson is Matt Gaetz with all the baggage.

In his short political life, here are just a few of Mike Johnsons positions and stated beliefs:

• Wants a national ban on abortion from the moment of conception, with no exceptions.
• Has called for the overturning of all same-sex marriage laws and the criminalization of such marriages.
• Believes the 2020 election results should be overturned and voted to do so.
• Founded the Freedom Guard, a religious non-profit that advocates for and represents in court employers who believe they should be able to discriminate against their employees and applicants based on their religious beliefs.
• Has been called by fellow republicans “a despicable bigot of the highest order”.
• Advocates cutting off all funding to aide Ukraine’s battle against Russia.
• Denies climate change and claims solar and wind are both the most inefficient forms of energy.
• Claims living near wind turbines cause depression and cognitive dysfunction at the same time his biggest donations come from the oil and gas industries.
• Calls for laws to prevent Muslim immigration.
• Is rated the top anti LBGT member of the House.
• Wants all laws, even state laws, that legalize medical marijuana to be overturned.
• Voted against raising the minimum wage laws.
• Wants to see Medicare cut by $3T (yes “trillion”) and Social Security cut by $750M.

I’m sure some of you may look at this list and say “Yeah, good for you Mike’. But ask yourself how many women, moderate republicans, younger voters, and other special interest groups are going to ask themselves if they still want to relate to republics or will decide why vote at all if this is what their party believes.

The House has three weeks to pass a budget, another continuing resolution, or to allow the government to shut down, which is what the Freedom Caucus wants anyway. Anyone want to bet on how many funding bills they attempt to pass that will have Freedom Caucus attachments that make them nearly impossible to clear the House floor and be sent to the Senate where they will be dead on arrival. And even if by some miracle Mike Johnson does even attempt to reach a compromise with enough Democrats, how quick will Gaetz and his ilk pull the pin and throw the entire speakership back into chaos.

You may think electing Johnson was a step in the right direction – I don’t.

I’m feeling a little better today, so I will grace you with another post. This time it is in the form of a couple of questions.

Some of you have strongly stated (you know who you are) a belief that there should be only one flag people fly (the American) and one language everyone should speak (English). May I assume you feel as strongly about people flying a Ukrainian flag to support our ally as you do a Palestinian flag to support people in their original homeland?

Also, I’d like your opinion of dual citizenship. If an American citizen chooses to use their citizenship in a war zone country to travel there, what should America’s responsibility be to expend resources to rescue them?

Finally, should elected members of congress be allowed dual citizenship, or should they be required to denounce all but their American citizenship.

I would really like to hear your thoughts on these subjects.

I support Mike Lorts and his choice of BLM shirts.  i may not agree with it do to the theft of money and view of Israel by members of the movement (namely, Patrisse Cullors a founding member of BLT oops BLM-I know its all in how much bacon you want).  But just like Trump and Biden, they are taking care of business and rewarding themselves Hey this group even interumpted Bernie Sanders taking his mike from him to shout all that is good with the agents of change BLM. Many rumors about the movement. All groups have problems and if I belonged to a group that got 90 million dollars I would buy a laundrymart I had seen only one thing that stood out and that was; BLM didn't support Israel but would support South Africa palestinians.  In  10-11-2023  Fox news said "a video calling for the end of Israel in 2015 Palestine is our generation's South Africa ... if we don't step up boldly and courageously to end the imperialist project called Israel we're doomed" in  the St. Louis Post dated 7-10-2022 6 million dollars in 2022 was spent on a studio city property...Mss Cullors had stayed their and entertained President Biden and Vice President Harris (January 2021) as well as used the facility for a birthday party for her son.  During riots in Chicago; Chicago Tribune 9-6-2020 a" BLM represntative from Chicago  Ariel Adams refered to looting as reparations" The BLM group also advocated" Defund The Police" Press of Atlantic City 11-29-2015 All this and knowig Black Lives Matter is  registerd non-profit with the IRS;  Napa Valley Register 9-22-2022.

Im still pissed at Britain for stealing our land, our women, our children.  Slaves were treated better than the Irish and then in America the Irish were used in the swamps because a slave was too valuable.  And the Klan wouldn't take us.  We had to wait till President Kennedy showed it was our country not the Popes' who we allowed alleigance too.

I guess you see me as a racist...well maybe sometimes... how come the US governement provides money for Black Colleges and integration was a good idea but, extreme things like BLM are still slaves. Martin Luthor King had an idea of equal justice for all. From what i have read BLM is near the end because the people were smarter and didn't need pimps for freedom.

I have referenced this from Mr. Roosevelt several times in the past.  Usually to personal attacks from the left (cult member...inflamed cesspool dweller...racist) and I think that is just fine, because that's who they are and to a certain degree, I pity them.  When "we," the conservative right patriots on this site say something that does not precisely comport with the left's narrative, here they will come again and the left will try to pick apart Mr. Roosevelt's words.

Here is a quote from Roosevelt on immigrants, assimilation and English (language), and for the record, I subscribe to the content 100%:

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. 

But, this is predicated on the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American.  There can be no divided allegiance here.  Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all.  We have room for but one flag, the American flag and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile.  We have room for but one language here, for we intend to see that the crucible turns out people as Americans, of American nationality, and not as dwellers in a polyglot boarding house, and we have room for one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

The left has moved inexorably away from the idea of the UNITED States of America, almost as an insidious cancer moves through the body only to reach the most predictable end.  We must stop this movement and it starts and ends with our VOTE.

The left will see this as another reason to attack me personally.  Feel free.  I do not debate those for whom I have no respect.  The left will no doubt try to take apart Roosevelt's words and not see the message as it was meant.  Very simply stated, Roosevelt's words personify patriotism and loyalty, but the left will have a different take.

The left has thrown up roadblocks all along as the Republicans strive to find a footing and move the country forward.  We now have a Speaker and the left is already trying to tear him apart like a pack of hyenas after a gazelle.  There has been NO attempt at bi-partisanship from the left.

We....the USA....are in a desperate situation with problems in the Middle East/Israel, Russia/Ukraine, China, No. Korea, our Southern border and the invasion there, a feckless, weak, President and so much more.  You MUST know what we face right now.  

VOTE.

Richard D., I agree with the subject of your post. Most of us have never heard of Mike Johnson. You have done some investigation into him. I know that I do not trust Matt Gaetz any further than I can throw him, and if Mike turns out to be made of the same cloth, I will not trust him either. We will have to watch and see what he does as SOH. 

As to your second post, there may be some disagreement. If you are an American citizen by birth or naturalization, you should fly the AMERICAN flag. If you. If you are a citizen of another country residing in America, your embassy may fly your flag. If you live outside the embassy, you may fly your country's flag UNDER the American flag. NO flag should ever be flown OVER the American flag. 

The same goes for language. We are an English-speaking country. If you are from a country that speaks another language, you are free to speak that language to others who speak that language. However, It is expected that you learn enough English to communicate with others and to read, at least, important notices and street signs.

Jim. The Marxist left does want us to be united—United under Communism and  Socialism and under their constitution. They want us to think that there is a vast difference between the extreme left and the extreme right but in the end, they both lead to dictatorships and a loss of freedom and liberty.
