Based on my malaria experience it sounds like Buzz continued working in Nam not realizing he had contracted it.  A Corpsman caught mine quickly so, even though I was pretty sick it didn't get critical.  Obviously Buzz's did.  I actually went back on Active Duty and almost completed my tour.     N.S.--De Santis and Vivek both say that they support Ukraine but want the money vetted that we're giving them.  I totally agree!!

Frank and Patty.  Well, well, well.  Something else in common....sorta.  I was somewhere in I Corps, I think and contracted a bad, shaky, sweaty fever.  I remember I was sent to Delta Med at Dong Ha....again, I think.... and treated there.  I was diagnosed with Fever of Unknown Origin (FUO) and actually was treated by an American (female) nurse.  First "Round Eye" I had seen since leaving Okinawa.  Anyhow, I was released after about one week and never had a problem again.  I do NOT know if it was actually malaria, but I have been "told" it was later by a Navy Corpsman.  The Dutchess says this may just explain a few things.

Patty.  If you and Buzz ever come to Phoenix, it would be good to get together, especially if Frank could attend.  I could picture you two at a Beer Summit with the rest of us reprobates.....not that you are a reprobate....Oh, God!  Where's the eraser or white out on this contraption!!

Jim and Frank. Buzz was in the Northern I Corps near the laotian border, they had corpsmen but I don't think they had time to take care of anyone but the wounded.  When he started convulsing they packed him in ice and sent him to Great Lakes.

I have been reading and Dissecting the United Nations Decision in 1948 to establish the Country of Israel.  The Country of Israel was attacked almost immediately after being formed in 1948 by the Radical Muslims and has been attacked many times since.  I say Muslims rather than Arabs because, let's face it, it's a religious issue.  If there is any blame about the establishment of the Jewish Country/Homeland it should lie at the feet of the U.N., not Israel.  It seems to me that Israel has been the Country that has had to retaliate when attacked and the conflicts have all been instigated by the Muslims!!  I don't want to speak for others that served in Vietnam but I felt differently about the NVA and the VietCong.  Basically the Geneva Convention lays out that there is a big difference between a Uniformed Army and any group fighting that is not uniformed are terrorists.  The VietCong were terrorists.  Based on the video I've seen, these Hamas fighters were all terrorists!!

I have been watching FOX News this a.m. and saw Israeli family survivors of the initial onslaught interviewed....and BTW....Lester Holt, NBC was one of the interviewers.  These family members....civilians.... are devastated.  They do NOT know what has happened to their "relatives" and friends and are crying out for help.  And, I think they know, they will PROBABLY not see their people again....nor will they likely hear directly from an Israeli or American government official as to their plight.  Too much carnage and devastation going on.

I am HEARTBROKEN watching this coverage and I know/imagine that if HAMAS/Hezbollah/Iran is watching, they will NOT show  any decency and release their captors unharmed.  Instead, they will continue to kill, capture, rape and torture innocents because that's what animals do.  When the time comes, they will try to leverage the hostages against Israel/USA and God help us if we fall for that again.  All the while, the terrorists continue to scream God is Great in Arabic.  They are as far from Godly as a human can be.

BUT, to the left on this Site....be sure to continue your rabid attack against American citizens during this horrific time because this clearly paints for all to see what despicable people you are.  This is a good opening for more de-unification.  Like HAMAS, you seem to see this as an opportunity to inflict more damage against YOUR ENEMIES, the so-called MAGA Trumpies, Conservatives, Republicans.....American citizens.  Please....do continue.  I, for one, expect it.  I would also point out that, as proclaimed by several members of the left, we are dealing with athiests and others who do NOT share the Christian values of the conservatives on this site.  I do NOT feel charitable toward these people and I know I will have to answer for that when I finally see my God.

I would also ask the conservatives on this site to back off with anything that could be considered a personal, individual by name attack against left wing classmates.  IT SERVES NO PURPOSE!  They are NOT listening.  Attack or deride the policies or results of our administration and the narrative of the left.  Go after the left wing philosophy. This is just my suggestion.

Mike Pompeo (who was at first C.I.A. Director then Secretary of State) said that when Trump took office we were giving the Palestinians 200 million dollars in foreign aid.  Trump cut it off.  When Lyin Biden took office he immediately resumed the payment.  The Palestinians leadership has also called for the destruction of Israel.  I don't know if they called for the destruction of America but I would bet a bunch--that's what they thought.

The Israelis don't need my advice but what I would do is force smoke into the tunnels with smoke grenades and blowers.  The terrorists will move away from the smoke.  Find out where it comes out.  Put troops at that point.  Then blow knock out gas into the tunnels.  Then enter the tunnels.  Prepare yourselfs, this hostage thing is not going to end well for the hostages!!  Israel has handled hostage situations completely differently than we have.

You are a bit more introspective than I am most of the time.  Here's my solution.  Find Hamas and Hezbollah....kill them all....and let God sort it out.  There can be no apologies.  No cease fire.  No backing off.  There will be innocent casualties just like there were in Hiroshima/Nagasaki, Dresden, and from B-52 carpet bombing in Nam.  I grieve for the innocents...on all sides.

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration Iran Crude Oil Production dropped in half (from about 4 million barrels a day to 2 million barrels a day) when Trump was President.  U.S. oil production went way up during that time.  Hence $2.27/gallon regular gas price.  Irans production is back up to about 4 million barrels a day under Lyin Biden.  So 2 million times $85/barrell equals 170 million a day.  Jake Sullivan, Lyin Biden's N.S.A said yesterday they haven't had any discussions for months with Iran about stopping their Nuclear Program.  So why release the 6 Billion.  What was in it for the United States?  To me, all it did was show weakness to an enemy who calls for our death!!

Yesterday, Rashida Tlaib, a Democrat member of the House and SQUAD MEMBER, was approached by Hillary Vaughn of FOX News and asked IF she will condemn the murder of children, elderly and the rape and murder of women in Israel.  She was asked several times as Tlaib scuttled off to the elevator in the House building.  Tlaib....a far left wing member of Congress....did not utter one word of condemnation.  In fact, she said NOTHING at all, but she did flash a look of hatred at Ms. Vaughn.  I personally watched it on FOX.  Be careful, democrats.  I know Tlaib acts like what you say a MAGA Republican looks like, but she isn't.  She's yours.

BTW!!!  Tlaib flys the Palestinian flag outside her office.  Disgraceful!  There is ONE FLAG....and that is THE AMERICAN FLAG.  This woman should be escorted out of the House....but our cowardly politicians don't want the putrid backlash.  That's where we are, people.

Recently, in a speech after a couple of days off, Biden DID proclaim support and loyalty to Israel in this war against radical Islamists (in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and elsewhere).  Some say it was a good speech.  BUT, he did NOT condemn IRAN and its obvious connection to this horrific act of terror and he did NOT condemn the putrid anti-Semetic vitriol coming from the Squad who are members of his own party.  Part of the way does not cut it, Mr. President.  I am curious to see what our physical involvement is now that we know there are 14+ Americans dead (more than from the Afghanistan retreat) and 24+ Americans held hostage.  Getting out the checkbook, Mr. President?  I have little to no faith in Biden because I am looking in the rear view mirror....which I really hate to do.

I have said it MANY, MANY times.....I believe our most serious threat is our open border.  We have NO idea who has come through...where they are...and what they plan to do.  BUT, I will lay odds that some ARE in our country to do us harm.  Be vigilant.  Situational awareness should be at the front of your mind as you leave your house.
