The latest iteration of Star Wars was just on TV.  With Cinco de Mayo being tomorrow, I have one thing to say....May the fourth be with you.

No comment, huh?  I thought this was funny.  I didn't write it, but I did pass it on.

Kelly, I completely disagree with your description of trump and dictators.  Your information is selective at best, and misleading.  It's kind of the Fox News hopeful reporting that no person will really check it out before they vote.  There is one thing trump is very good at, bait and switch.  He knows most Americans don't want to live under a dictator which he so badly wants to be so he says a few things, makes a few weak actions but he idolizes the dictators.  I noticed you left out the love affair at Mar-A-Lago for Orbán.  He hasn't ever done anything but drool at his feet.  trumps love of dictators isn't the selective issues you point out, it's the whole picture!  If you want to discuss this more let's take one of the worlds dictators trump has favored and really compare the love he show to what he has done to them. You choose.

Google: "The People's Forum". This is where most all the funding came from for these anti-Israel protests across the country.  George Soros is a main contributor to them.  You will see on their website that your donation to them is tax deductible.  N.S.  I find it hysterical that anyone would criticize Rick Perry (holder of an engineering degree and a former Air Force Officer) of not being qualified to supervise our Nuclear Weapons program when our present Energy Secretary--Jennifer Granholm has a Law degree and NO Military Service.  Ridiculous!!  Talk about hypocrisy!  People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones!!

We are in the middle of a real INSURRECTION right now taking place at mostly liberal based colleges.  And now, these traitors are threatening to take the Democrat Convention apart.  This is despicable, un-American and illegal.

January 6th was NOT an insurrection.....THIS IS!  It is a democrat conceived, funded and run insurrection and voters should take note.  Our country is falling apart right before our eyes.

These insurrectionists....ANARCHISTS....are proclaiming that they ARE HAMAS.  Believe them.  Please watch the video I posted on #13572 and see what we are dealing with.  Don't be taken in by radical left wingers on this site who are trying to deflect from the truth with their endless attacks against half of America and the conservatives on this site.  Take a stand....Believe your eyes and ears and VOTE accordingly.

SECURE THE BORDER!!  ENFORCE THE LAW!!  AMERICA FIRST!!

Katie, thought you might be interested in what the American Psychiatric Association says about dictators:

They have a deep sense of entitlement and see themselves as exceptional individuals who deserve admiration, making it difficult for them to emphasize the feelings and needs of others. Dictators often display a consistent pattern of grandiosity, coupled with a vindictive nature commonly associated with narcissistic personality disorder.

Katie, I have mechanical engineering degree. I has two semesters of physics with much it covered atomic/nuclear Physics. Nuclear engineering was taught at many universities. I am not sure if it is available these day since hardly any demand exists. I  believe Perry was/is qualified to perform the responsibility he had, much more so than all the DEI appointments made by Joey.

Katie your predictable and irrelevant. Your 13583 was so wrong, I wanted to set the Record Straight. I have no hopes of ever changing your mind about anything. You simply don't know what you are speaking of and what reality has taken place makes no difference to you. Would a Dictator have allowed the moves that the US Govt. made During the  Pandemic. You ignore the Truth when it does not agree with you. I read what you write as a way to get a handle on how far off base  you and your Progressive friends can get. You were supporting  Palestinians not long ago, and made no mention of whether you supported them even if they sided with Hamas over what happened in Israel on Oct.7, 2023.

Before joining the Air Force Rick Perry attended Texas A & M where he graduated with a degree in animal science.  While in the Air Force he flew cargo planes. After leaving the Air Force he joined his family business and became a cotton salesman. From 1984 to 1988 he served in the Texas House of Representatives as a Democrat. He switched to the Republican Party to run for Texas Secretary of Agriculture.

Oops! Rick Perry, No engineering degree😩. I  take back my endorsement.

Richard, thanks for giving us a complete psychiatric evaluation of Joe Biden. Fits him to a tee.

DeWitt, we've met in person twice and both times I found you to be a pleasant and polite person. What changes when you post?

Hope you have been spared any of the weather related damage occurring in your neck of the woods.

Katie Baribeau (Moore)

Quick, all Conservatives, grab you spouse, your children, your grandchildren, your local porn star, and run for the hills, the Progressives and friends are out and about.   We Progressives believe in all of the Bill of Rights, not just the second one.  We believe that we have the right to post our opinions but it seems that when we do that it is very scary to the Conservatives.  They will stop at nothing to protect you from ever hearing another opinion, another way of creating a better America.  We need to walk lock step in their journey towards a dictatorship, if the Progressives don’t then the name calling, the belittling starts.

If I didn’t come to this group I wouldn’t know that because I have a differing opinion from Kelly that I’m predictable and irrelevant.  He knows all and sees all, funny that when challenged to a discussion about how trump loves him some dictators, he passes.  I hope he isn’t in some corner crying because we don’t allow him to have the only opinion.  Projection know thy name.  I thought he’d jump at the chance to “educate” a poor, ignorant woman, but I guess that was a step too far.  I’m sorry I made it difficult for you Mikey……it’s so nice to show this self proclaimed misogynist, #13570, he full he is of himself and isn’t the boss of me!  The Great Karnak!  I can see him holding the envelop against his forehead and knowing the answer for all sentient beings.

Bill, I hope you are not equating a couple of classes that covered nuclear physics enough to oversee the United States Nuclear Program.  That is quite a stretch.  I do see where you learned Rick Perry wasn’t quite an engineer…….I can understand how you can confuse engineering with animal science though, they are so connected,

Last, but definitely not least, January 6th, people killed, not so important, the Capitol trashed including feces spread around, a typical day, yelling hang Mike Pence, not really all that important, trying to stop a Constitutionally derived peaceful transfer or power, that’s OK.  It definitely wasn’t an insurrection because Coats said it wasn’t.  He had to wait to find something that was and he found it.  We, the radical left wingers, (don’t forget, freedom to have our own opinions only belongs to the Conservatives on this site) in his opinion, are fomenting a full insurrection to deflect from his truth.  This is a person who often states that research is not worth his time, I guess his posts prove that.  Whatever anyone does, trust your eyes and ears and then believe only Coats. Chicken Little!  The sky is falling, the sky is falling…..and it’s someone else fault, whoever he chooses.

So from this “radical left winger” to the Conservatives, you won’t stop us from posting our ideas, you won’t change our minds, and most of what you post says more about you than the political situation in this country.  Thank the Universe we have some people, even some Republicans, that believe that everyone has the right to share their ideas without ridicule, too bad that just isn’t true here, it only makes it more important for we patriots to post here for those of us who believe we still have the freedom of speech.  You just have to love snark!  Mike drop!

Israel has dropped leaflets warning the "innocent" people in Gaza to move, and where to move so that they don't get hurt or killed.  Unprecedented in the history of War.  N.S.--Since most all of these campus protesters cover their faces and don't want to be recognized, I would recommend that if we arrest them we put their pictures and names on the front pages of newspapers, on Facebook, "X", and every other significant social media site.  That way employers would know who NOT to hire!!

Looking for Al Taylor.  Anybody out there know how to contact him?  Ron

05/06/24 11:39 AM #13387

Patty Meyers (Anderson)

Ron, all I have for Al Taylor was that he was living in Salem, Oregon, but that was many years ago.  If you want a 30 year old address and telephone number, let me know.

Frank, I know the US dropped leaflets warning the citizens before dropping the atomic bombs in Japan.  I'm not sure how many other times this happened but I know that leaflets have been dropped other times.  Some may have been for propanganda.

Richard, what's the hubbub bud? First, I compliment you on a great psychological evaluation of Joe Biden, and I now thank you for providing evidence of Rick Perry's' qualifications. So, what's your beef? I'm still the pleasant, polite, conservative, retired electrician I've always been  :) I just get my feathers ruffled at times with liberal nonsense. :(

The first time we met was at a beer summit in Phoenix. I don't remember us talking to each other much. There was my friend Glen Myrick and some others with whom I was more engaged in conversation. But when you were in my area, we did meet with your wife and had a very nice lunch and visit, void of any political talk. You were both very pleasant and polite. I wouldn't mind doing it again under the same rules.

Colangelo , (No not Jerry)  the prosecutor in the Trump N.Y. trial, was actually on the Biden Presidential Election Team.  Then he was put in the Number 3 position in the Justice Department.  Who's paying this guy to leave a higher paying Federal job to take a lower paying State job?

Republican Geoff Duncan, the former Lt. Governor of Georgia, endorsed President Biden in a scathing op-ed in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“Unlike Trump,” he writes, “I’ve belonged to the GOP my entire life. This November, I am voting for a decent person I disagree with on policy over a criminal defendant without a moral compass.”

This is what country over party means.

Duncan is no liberal. Not only is he a lifelong Republican and an extremely conservative one. His bold decision to cross party lines in the upcoming election, which in today’s climate can be seen as brave, is a significant departure from the usual Republican strategy of remaining in lock step no matter what.

This break with Donald – and the party – is a sign of more positive things to come.

Duncan expressed his disappointment in some of his fellow Republicans who were previously some of Donald’s “fiercest detractors” now pledging to support the Republican ticket out of a misguided sense of loyalty. “This mentality is dead wrong,” Duncan asserts.

This election is not about loyalty or even policy, Duncan argues, but values — it’s about acknowledging how dangerous it would be to have Donald back in the White House – and acting accordingly.

Imagine for a moment you own a business, let’s say it is a real estate business, and you need to hire someone to run your office. What sort of qualifications are you going to look for in a prospective employee? I would imagine you might want to hire someone who has successfully run a real estate office in the past and has all the appropriate education to do the best job possible.

Now imagine you are a state district attorney getting ready to indict and put on trial a high-profile person and are looking for someone with the background and education needed to maximize the probability of successfully obtaining a guilty verdict. Might you be interested in someone who had already successfully prosecuted the same high-profile person?

Matthew Colangelo is a Harvard educated lawyer who has specialized in white-collar fraud and prior to spending a few years at the DoJ was a member of the New York Prosecution Department that successfully shut down the Donald J. Trump Foundation for illegally coordinating with the 2016 Trump campaign.

Sounds like a good hire to me.

Katie Baribeau (Moore)

Richard, you just posted exactly what I found out.  Colangelo was hired because he is excellent in what he does and since we are prosecuting a previous President of the United States, Bragg wanted the best.  Not everyone is rewarded by money.  Colangelo has a good amount of money already.  Sometimes when people are in that high income bracket, they just choose jobs they like or think they will be helpful.  Personally, my father, a psychologist found that he wanted to be at the beginning in the field of Special Education.  Instead of private practice, which would have paid nicely, he worked for the states of Wisconsin, Arizona and Michigan.  Not as much money but he was given rewards that are much better than money, and I am very proud of him for that!

trump's dementia.  More than 300 mental health professionals have signed a petition warning that trump has clear signs of dementia.  This would be in conflict with the reports that President Biden is the one with cognitive issues.

1.  trump suffers from 'malignant narcissim which was actually designed to explain Hitler.  trump manifests all 4 components of this condition, naccissim, paranoia, constant feeling of being persecuted which justifies his harming other people and anti-social lying.

 2.  trump is now unable to get through a rally without committing one of the tell-tale signs of dementia such as saying the incorrect word or combining or mixing up people, places and generations.

3.  trump has demented speech.  His actual words,  “Gettysburg, what an unbelievable battle that was," adding, "It was so much, and so interesting, and so vicious and horrible, and so beautiful in so many different ways—it represented such a big portion of the success of this country."  trump then jumped to talking about Confederate General Robert E. Lee and how he was now “out of favor” and told his troops to never fight uphill, only downhill with Trump claiming Lee said, “Never fight uphill, me boys!” (historians deny Lee ever said such a thing.)  "Gettysburg, wow, I got to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania to look and watch."   This is what people with dementia do when they draw a blank, they continue to use a lot of superlative words as filler words, then try to make up stories because nature abhors a vacuum.

4.  These psychologists believe that trum will only get worse, word salad, loose associations, impairments of memory and language problems (misprouncing words or making up words that don't exist, cofeve.).

5.  It has been suggested that if trump were to get reelected that he would become completely incapacitated in office.
