Mike W.  Oh, crap!  Take care of yourself.  I'd rather have a wound requiring 25 stitches than what you're going through.  I alternated hot pads, real hot showers and cold packs and that seemed to help.  They wanted to give me oxi, but I stayed with Tylenol.  I hope you feel better.  Do what they tell you, take it easy and get well my friend.

Thank you Jim, sleep is almost impossible. The pain is tremendous, and I sleep in stretches. Pain radiates from lower back, to right hip, down to my ankle. Possible shots in the future. At this point, I'll settle for anything that will reduce the pain level, thanks again Guys...........

Mike Wetzel,

I read you post and wanted to respond.  Going through back problems and not being able to get around is tough. My thoughts and prayers are with you.  I wish I knew a way to make it better...my mom hat Arthritis and the only thing that helped her was Empriine.. I don't think they make it anymore...it was an aspririne brand name.... I stoped commenting in the forum, but hearing what was happening with you .... I just wanted to tell you that your in my thoughts.

Hold on to your wallets and purses--OPEC just announced a big price increase just in time for Summer Driving. I remember one time when I was a Freshman at Phoenix College I was going somewhere in John Sullivans (the West High J.S.) car and we pulled in to an Exxon Station, the Attendant )remember them) came out and John said, "give me $2.00 worth of "Happy Motoring".  That was 5 Gallons.  Joe Manchin is calling Lyin Biden exactly what he is.  A Liar!  Read Manchins "Wall Street Journal" article.

** Add one more to the Vig-Summit, on the 10th, at 5:30p.

Missed topic; The "Tent City" in downtown Phoenix. What a human cesspool between 7th Ave and the State Capital's Park & Madison/Washington, all around the Salvation's Soup kitchen. One or two died daily from drugs or each other. Last week a corpse was found in a burned-out dumpster. Sad was it was alive in the dumpster, but died from the fire. Has anyone drove around this old part of Phoenix? Its magical, Westside of 7th Ave is a wasteland, and directly across 7th[Eastside] is Shangri-La, from the Main Phx Police HQ and the multi story office buildings. Strange; the Police stopped any patrolling, just called-in to help the Workers haul off the dead bodies. The Wild-West is still alive in downtown Phx.

Want to re-start our call for "Term Limits".

It seems the Chinese balloon that floated clear across America actually DID collect vital intelligence for the CCP.  That's despite what we were told by the Biden Administration....the one that allowed the balloon to float clear over our country without interdiction.  Let's see.....what kind of intelligence could that have been?  I'm no expert, but maybe it was to enhance the CCP's ability to zero in on our ICBM facilities.  That wouldn't be good, right?  When will this end?

Couple of things.  1.  Sorry to see Dennis moran go.  But, he's a grown-ass man and can make his own decisions.  2. I enjoyed Frank's Sunday Funnies as usual.  We can always use a smile.  Along the same line, I have one for you....

"I woke up this morning determined to drink less, eat right and exercise.  But, that was four hours ago when I was younger and full of hope."

Seems like that little joke might actually contain an ironic kernel of truth.  Too bad, but that's where we are.

SECURE THE BORDER!!  AMERICA FIRST!!  ENFORCE THE LAW!!  FOLLOW THE MONEY!!  IT'S NEARLY ALWAYS ABOUT MONEY AND POWER.

P.S.  I'm going to try to NOT specifically chastize anyone on this Forum for their beliefs.  Beliefs belong to the person.  IF I "attack" anything, it will be Federal and State policies and elected officials.  Maybe I won't be able to stay the course, but I know in my heart it's a good one....at least for me.  I'm not saying I won't "hit" back.  NO ONE on this site is responsible for any real or perceived bad Federal or State policies.  The only thing we each have is ONE VOTE.  I'll try to hang on to that.

Jim, the Chinese learned another thing from their balloon, perhaps even more dangerous. They discovered that Biden will let them do anything they want. They know that Biden is still on their side.

And you are right. Although we are all guilty of it, Personal attacks should be avoided.

Sorry, why did I leave the message forum? will I be back?

I expected that if I said something  I would get a reply....even a F...O would of been appreciated so i gave up.   I have written several of my more than thoughfull items ....which were so important that I can't remember any of them...

Now for the violins to come in. As an only child the only one that said anything was my dog...or my folks with:  just go to your room. So here I am reading everything Conservative and Im thinking yea I feel that way...but I'm more middle of the road. What can I say that will garner a note....Well hey even the lone Liberal doesn't respond

its like playing as a child.  How many dog bones do I need to place around my neck to get a nod.

I like Biden........in Delaware.

I guess I like Trump .....for shock and it goes with the way i played Hockey .... usally in the penalty box for ruffing

You know im 76 now ...... now where did i put the 76 union attenae ball

my thought on refried beans ........why are they refried and how many times.... so if you use them can you put them in a jar and then cook them again.

Something that im very proud of; I graduated with a D- - - - 2nd year typing...otherwise i would of not made graduation.  I was typing 60 wpm but, the ladies were in the 120's so much for confidence....its like going outside with your zipper down.

Republican Governor Asa Hutchinson who is a prefessed candidate for the RNC Nomination for President in the 2024 Election, believes it is for the good of the Public's view of our Judicial System and for the good of the Party and Country that Trump not be prosecuted, and that Trump withdraw from his Candidacy for President in 2024. And there Folks, is your best Argument in favor of succumbing to the Threat of Force by bullies everywhere. Asa must have never had a fist fight when he knew the likely outcome would be a pretty bad ass kicking with him on the receiving end. Just throw in the Towel, Give Uo, and Quit. That ain't Manhood Asa. And Asa, just because of saying this, and I just heard you say it Live on Fox News, I will never Vote for you as President. Your likely to allow more "Weather Balloons" from China to bifurcate the United States to go unimpeded because you are swayed by those who do not have the best interests of the United States at Heart.

Dennis.  I have to respectfully disagree.  Several people over time have praised you for your Will Rogers style (my label).  I hope you stick around.  Come to a Beer Summit.  But, it's up to you.  BTW, I'm still typing with the same 3 or 4 fingers and one thumb I have always used.  Always......ALWAYS have to look at the keyboard!  I took typing in summer school at Arcadia and achieved a passing grade with 36 wpm.  My greatest memory from that class was putting a Junior Mint in Martin Miller's carriage.  When he rolled his paper through, guess what....huuuuuge Junior Mint.  I have no memory after that.

Hell, hardly anyone responds to my more esoteric, albeit sometimes snarky posts except Mr. Lorts.  We used to be chided by certain people as a "patting each other on the back mutual admiration society."  I don't need a pat on the back.  As I said, my beliefs are my own and my beliefs scare the hell outta me.  I'm just going to try to tone down going after Mr. Lorts (or anyone else on the Forum) since he's the "last man standing on the left."  Maybe he'll come to a Beer Summit.  He has been invited many times.....with no response.

Stanford Law School, one of the highest ranked Law School's with the American Bar Association, has gotten its ears trimmed, and its whiskers plucked, because some of the elite brilliants figured they were actually, and ran a federal judge an invited speaker off the podium and out of the Campus. They were proud, waved signs, celebrated, and toppled their Tower of Learning to the ground. The federal judges retaliated, no more clerkships for Stanford Law Students, and that is a big blow to the elite because a federal judge clerkship is the necessary precursor to a hiring at a top law firm on Wall Street.

I don't know if any of you studied Shakespeare in the halls of higher learning, but his plays were a form of very rebellious writings directed against the Throne in England. His Plays were Satire directed against the Tyranny of the ruling class in England.  Somewhat as the life and times of a certain red haired Tweeter who happened to want to be the Best President We Have Ever Had. An insider I know, has told me that over fifty attempts have been made on Trump's life. I remember when Ronald Reagan was shot and almost died, during his Presidency. I am sure that Trump has his own Security Team who are the top at their Job. He has Protection from the Boss,so he will be Just Fine.

Cost of college:

way out of range and not afordable. Does it guarantee a job?

I remember going to Phoenix College in 1965 and 16 hrs cost $ 28.00 per semester.   Books  were about $ 100. of that I bought a PC tee shirt.

At NAU in 1968 i remember paying $ 167 for a semester at the newest dorm (SECHRIST) ....the dorm was always full as I remember...I believe tuition was around $ 250 (for 16 semester hours.  The meal ticket 5 days 2 meals was under $ 200.

The dorm has been in use all this time .... shouldn't it be paid for and then some.

Later I learned that you could only use the placement service at the school you went too....

What about Dorm damage fees....I don't know a year they didn't have it...and they never used it to repair any damage to the building. just as well if you had a hole in your wall it could be fixed with colgate toothpaste and sandpaper....it also worked on holes in the floor (lifting weights).///   this knowledge helped me to repair holes in my apartment....so if you need to fix a hole ... colgate.

The Arizona Board of Regents are now having tuition at $ 5512 a semester and fees are $ 625  this was just fall heaven help you if you want a degree,

Why didn't Jill Biden explain why costs are so high...the bull of every one is admited to study...no wonder; students  could turn to various ways to make a buck.

My idea is build larger librarys for self study.....why, how many teachers don't teach and take it you already know how.     So get access to the Library with better text books....how many books have you picked up that lack how to do the problem...

Welcome back Dennis!!  Crest toothpaste also works well.  I find it interesting that there is a lot more financial help for College fees if someone is a minority, you know, like Elizabeth Warren.  I guess there are no poor white high school students?  When I went to Phoenix College right gut out of Camelback there was no financial aid available.  I checked.  But as Dennis said, it didn't cost an arm and a leg like now.  Before the Marines and all through ASU, I always had a job even though I had the G.I. Bill when I went to ASU.  Thank God receiving the G.I. Bill was not based on Race!  My biggest complaint about 4 year Colleges is that they don't Council incoming students about what income they will make with certain degrees and what the cost/benefit of college loans will be.  I would think that would be something Congress would all agree on and could pass easily.  It makes me wonder if Colleges donate money to Political Candidates??  Did you see where Dumb Blond Dr. Jill suggested The 2nd place Woman's College Basketball Team should also be invited to the White House.  More Woke feel good B.S.

From the Forensic Accountant in N.Y.--the Commercial Real Estate Market in N.Y.C. Is in shambles, tons of vacancies and it may not come back because of Crime.  The Banks are holding most of these Mortgages on vacant properties at 3-4% interest which loans aren't being paid, but new loans would be at 6%-7%!  It kind of sounds like the Phoenix R.E. Market in 2008-09.  Values dropping, Rates rising.

Welcome back Dennis! Tuition at UofA in 1967 was $240. I don't remember how much what the dorm cost was. Books were around $100/semester. My dorm was the south end of the football stadium, noisey during games but I was not in my room then but once or twice.

Frank, right on with counciling on cost benefit for degree of choice.

Michael K.--  Legal question--If Trumps lawyers ask for a change of venue and the Judge says no, can Trumps lawyers appeal that Decision?  Please don't send me a bill!!  Ha! Ha!  New Subject--Jeb Bush has come out against this prosecution and in support of Trump!  I'll bet that includes the remaining Bush's and thousands of other RINOS plus thousands of Independents!!

Crap!!  I HATE to make this observation, but it's right in front of our eyes.  Trump's first court date is 12/4/23.  That is right when the primary battles are in full swing.  The judge "sounded" reasonable, but he "asked" Trump not to make any (my word) inflamatory social media posts that might be construed to foment violence.  Actually, I don't have a problem with that.  Trump's mouth (and typing fingers) have caused him mucho problems.  Of course, I'm suspicious of the judge because he is allegedly a Trump hater right there with Bragg.

Based on the foregoing, what the hell is my point?  My point is that Bragg could have brought these "charges" a loooong time ago but he waited until Trump will need to be out on the campaign trail and now he's being forced to attend hearings.  Another dirty trick by the left and what can Republicans do to combat it?  Probably nothing, because they follow the law.  However, the judge may be the recipient of divine intervention and see this circus for what it is and throw it out.  Anyone want to bet on that??

Alvin Bragg is a buffoon!  Think about this.  N.Y.C. Is not in great financial condition.  Remember when they were whining about housing and feeding the illegals and begging for help? They deserved the mess because they when bragging about being a "Sanctuary City"!  Do you think they spent a Million dollars between yesterday and today?  Think if you were a resident of Manhattan.  What a traffic mess in a City where traffic is a nightmare anyway.  Michael K.--Another question?  I know that if I sign a tax return it is my responsibility.  My question is that if my accountants and lawyers give be me the tax return to sign does that reduce my responsibility if there are mistakes on the return which I didn't prepare?

Stick around, Dennis; the fun is just beginning. I like to read your posts and have commented at times. As far as school was concerned, if it weren't for Ds and Fs, I wouldn't have gotten any grades at all. In fact, I have a confession to make. I didn't graduate with the class of 65. I didn't have the credits. They told me that I could go through the graduation ceremonies but would receive a blank sheet of paper. I thought, what's the point of that? So I went to summer school and the next semester to finish my last needed credits. They unceremoniously sent me my diploma in the mail. Funny thing, though. 10 years later, I got an invitation to attend the class of '66 reunion. Talk about an insult. After four years in the Coast Guard, I did go back to school and got my AA from GCC. But that's as far as I could go. Being married and with a family, I just couldn't go on to ASU.

Michael K. Asa Hutchinson was Governor when I first moved to Arkansas. He was a fair Governor but lacked the luster of a real leader. He knows that Trump is innocent of the charges. I think he only wants him to drop out of the race so he would have a better chance. We have a great Governor now in Sarah Sanders. She is a fighter.

I don't know if any of you are watching Trumps speech tonight from Maro Lago but for the first time he is saying "We" instead of "I" when talking about achievements in his Presidency.  That's a giant improvement for me!!  Here's my question?  Where does this guy get his energy??  Let's compare the half wit, stumbling---(-upstairs) bumbling, stuttering person in the White House driving our economy into the ditch TO, where our economy was.  Let's compare---Did our adversaries (if I wasn't politically correct I'd say enemies) mess with us?  If you voted for Biden, and here I agree with Michael K., Democrats put us in this mess in the last election.  We (all of us, Democrats and Republicans and Independents) will have another chance in 2024.  We can't screw this up!!!!!
