Bonnie Jean McMaster Harvey, 78. With heavy hearts, we announce that Bonnie Jean (McMaster) Harvey passed away in her home under the wonderful care of Hospice of the Valley on December 6th, 2025. Born on January 26th, 1947, Bonnie was the daughter of Donald and Fran McMaster. She grew up in Omaha, NE, where she was cared for and loved by her parents and grandparents.
Bonnie attended West High School in Omaha before moving to Phoenix, AZ and finished her last two years at Camelback High School.
After graduating, she attended Arizona State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She then married Dale Harvey and helped him begin his dental practice as the office manager.
Bonnie had a wonderful extended family and many close friends who deeply touched her life. One of her favorite activities was competitive running, and this community quickly became part of her inner circle of friends.
In 1998, Bonnie met her life partner, Patricia Boucos. Together, they continued their love for the outdoors, and their adventures often included running and hiking. They also shared a love for traveling where they enjoyed their time on Mountain trails and taking walks on the beach. Some of their favorite places were the Oregon and Washington coast, as well as the mountain hikes in Colorado.
Bonnie Enjoyed ASU Women's sports and the Phoenix Mercury. Right up to the day that marked the start of her illness, she remained a dedicated volunteer member of St. Mary's food bank. It was here that she spent countless hours serving her community.
When she was not hiking or volunteering, she enjoyed reading, movies, photography, and was the biggest dog lover ever.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Mary's Food Bank in Bonnie's honor.
