Kay Karol Flynt Alexander, 62, of Chandler, lost her long and courageous battle with cancer on June 12, 2009.  She was born in Brookhaven, Mississippi, to Milton and Tootsie Flynt.  The family moved to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1952.  In 1969 she married Larry Alexander and together they raised a son and daughter in the Scottsdale/Paradise Valley area.  Kay and her family moved to south Tempe in 1984 where she reamined active in her chindren's schools and extra-curricular activities.  After raising her children, Kay began a career in new home sales which she continued despite her 1995 chemotherapy treatments which she endured so she could survive to see her children marry and give her four grandchildren.  She selflessly gave her love and time to her friends and family, despite the many side effects of the cancer and her treatments.  Survivors include her husband, Larry; daughter, Holly; and son, Michael.
