OH! WHAT TO DO ABOUT TRUMP!

I SAY, "Support him."

Some folks on here seem to think they know more about Putin and Communism than President Trump does. He knows very well how lies and deceit affect their way of governing. Just like the left-wing Communists in our congress use them, along with their Pravda news networks do. Putin declared a cease-fire over Easter weekend, then violated it while Ukraine was off guard. Now he's calling for another ceasefire. It would do Zelensky well to remember the old saying, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

There is a whirlwind of opposition against President Trump from the left. He doesn't need the right joining in against him. For the record, I never once said that Trump was perfect or that he would be the perfect President. But he is taking on a battle that few of us would. Even the Republican controled Supreme Court has stopped him from his first goal of removing illegals from our country. Our country is going through perilous times, and we need a strong president to see us through. Trump may not be the perfect answer to our problems, but he is strong enough to do the job.

Excellent De Witt!!  I watched the whole Cabinet Meeting today.  It is amazing how much good is being done.  Trump went around the table and every Member gave a synopsis of what they are doing.  Watch it if you can find it.  Maybe YouTube?  One person introduced to speak(not a Cabinet Member) got a big round of applause from the entire Cabinet.  Elon Musk!!

Frank, Jim and DeWitt, I am on board regarding Trump. Let's give him some time. I cringed ever time he professed he would solved all issues on day one😩.

As I said previously, Trump is doing  fine in every area he took on, and continues to do so. Democrats I ignore completely, if they could as a group nationwide LIE ABOUT BIDEN'S ABILITY TO LEAD, FOR FOUR YEARS, YOU CANNOT RELY ON DEMOCRATS TO LEAD AS A GROUP. THEIR WORDS MEAN LESS THAN NOTHING. AS TO THEM CALLING TRUMP AN OLIGARCH, THEN WHAT ABOUT GATES, SOROS, AND EVERY OTHER BILLIONAIRE THAT SUPPORT DEMOCRATS, THEY ARE LIKE THE OLIGARCHS SUPPORTING PUTIN. ALL I HEAR FROM DEMOCRATS IS DRIVEL, RIGHT NOW, JUST CRICKETS.

The problem I have with Trump, is his Ego seems to be getting in the way of Good Judgment, and that is of great concern to me and that has to do with the Russia Ukraine War. Putin has too much influence over Trump and it surprises me. People say Zelenskyy is a bad apple, how so, factual support. Remember, Russia attacked Ukraine. Not the other way around. What do you do when you are attacked, in your home, isn't that what we have a Second Amendment for?

Just because you like a Leader, doesn't mean they are right all the time. Trump is not. After all, our Country is about preserving my Right to Disagree. In a way, I am one of Trump's Best Friends. Not afraid to say "Dude, you are Screwing Up" It  happens.

I think we are out of it anyway. Ukraine can do it on their own. Slav Ukraine!!!!!

I think when Putin agreed to the two day Ceasefire and then fired on civilians it opened Trump's mind and thats why he sat down with Zlynsky at the Vatican.  I know Putin has lied repeatedly so it should have been no surprise that he lied again!!  N.S.--So, many of the so-called experts are saying it's going to take 4 or 5 years to get the factories up and running before we will see the new jobs.  So are we supposed to wait to get the ball rolling?  The building of these factories will demand Thousands of well paying jobs.  The workforce will have to be educated in these new industries so this gives us time to prepare.  Now Mike Waltz and his first assistant have been fired over the "Signal" email chain screwup.  Remember, nobody was fired over the Afghanistan screwup in which many people were killed and wounded!!

So, Kamala Harris, the left's calendar girl, gave a speech in San Francisco to honor Trump's 100 days in office. She spoke in her usual poetic style.  The same poetic style as when she spoke of "seeing the moon with your own eyes". Or "Everyone loves a yellow school bus", and some mysterious cloud above where all your computer files are stored. It was good that she spoke in San Francisco. She reminded me of the '60s hippy coffee shops there. All that was missing was the sitar music and the snapping of fingers. And of course, the smell of marijuana, vodka, or whatever her drug of choice is. I only listened to half her speech. That's all I could stand.

God Almighty!  I just watched the Jesse Waters interview with the DOGE Team.  It is amazing what they are doing for America.  One of the team said that the vast majority of the Government workers left after the either self imposed purge, or the buyouts, or the firings, the Government Workers are now truly dedicated to helping Americans and are suggesting other ideas, and most importantly saying that they were always afraid to say anything about the Waste, Fraud, and Abuse!!  God Bless America!!  God Bless Elon Musk! God Bless DOGE!

Frank W. Elan's cleaning up the Wasteful Spending going on in all the Government Agencies is just what this Nation needed. Trump's determination in bring that about is just what the doctor ordered, The Minerals Deal was signed with Ukraine, and from what I am hearing from the Ukrainian commentators it is a much better Deal than they had heard. These are smart, self reliant, and strong people with  a very strong Nationla Identity. They joke about the Deep voiced Lavarov, the  Russian Spokesman, who they mock when the say  "Inside Every Ukrainian is a Russian just Screaming to get out and become a Truly Free member of a Gulag Work Force in a Siberian Labor Camp in the Northern Reaches of Siberia". The Arabian have agreed to keep the oil prices per barrel way down and that is destroying Putin's main source of income for his War Machine. The Ukrainians now are smelling Victory, since yesterday they forced the Russians out of  Pokrovsk. A key place to capture  in order to dominate access to all the Mineral Wealth in that Region.

Jobs up by 40,000 in April and that number includes a reduction of 9,000 Government Workers (who are paid with our taxes).  Great news!

Our 'SHIP OF STATE' has been sinking under the weight of the waste and fraud we have endured for many years. It's about time we start jettisoning some dead weight that has had our country floundering for so long. Then we can ride high and move our nation along better and faster. Thank you, Elon and DOGE. And thank you, President Trump, for putting them to work for us.

I watched that DOGE round table as well. It was eye-opening.

Is th Politics the only thing you people can talk about.  We are all senior citizens these day how about letting us know about other class mates and what is happening with them. This Politics thing is wearing a person out.

Judy, please participate with what you know or ask. There have been quite a bit of non political posts if you go back and look.

Judy, thanks for your post. Many attempts have been made here to get us away from politics. I agree that there are many other topics that we could discuss. In the past, we have posted on music, movies, hobbies, careers, successes and failures, vacations, etc. If you have a topic you would like to discuss, please feel free to post it. I'm sure most of us  would all like to get away from the politics and learn more about each other. That's what this forum was designed for.

Today, we live in a world that is defined by politics, both domestic and foreign. Our country is so divided that it seems we will never come together again. Politics has come to the point that it consumes our everyday life. That is why, I feel, there is so much political banter here.

Will you be at the reunion? If so, I would love to sit down with you and discuss anything non-political. I hope you are doing well, and I look forward to hearing from you again.

"Sounds like a Problem for the Chaplain!"  Comment common to multiple thousands of Drill Seargeants in Army's etc World Wide. To me it serves as a reminder that to enter into the Gristmill of Exchange of Ideas you must be prepared to Stand Alone on occasion, which really serves to make us engage in Introspection about how strongly we Believe in our Assertions. Another way of stating this is the Question  "Is this the Hill you want to Die On"?

05/03/25 04:53 PM #14972

DeWitt Bacon

I find it equally incumbent upon a thinker to evaluate concepts contrary to a person's perception when presented practically and logically,  consider them, and choose wisely which hill you prefer to die on. Using this method, I can say confidently that I am presently satisfied with the hill I have been on all along.

Artic Ice has actually grown for the last 2 years in a row!  Hmmm?

Frank...source for your statement??  Google AI says both arctic snd Antarctic ice are receding.

05/07/25 03:01 PM #14975

DeWitt Bacon

There are ice ages and there are ages when the ice melts. Torrential rains cause floods, then there are droughts., It's been that way since the beginning of time; Earth's weather has always been in a constant state of flux, and my burning fossil fuel in my Chevy Impala has nothing to do with it.

David.  I saw that "report" or "statement" re: ice NOT receding too, but I can't remember the source.  I think what is receding is my hairline....whoops!!  Too Late!  All donesad.

Frank Wiley

I am retracting my statement about Article Ice and I apologize!  After some study I see that it is receding slower.  Thanks!

if the Polar Icepack is receding again, it is a good thing, because last time that happened some Government Agency or another discovered a complete baby Woolymammoth which lead to Cloning Experiments. For elephant connoisseurs it means more to eat. Makes you wonder (or maybe not) what Barbecued Woolymammouth tasted like. Perhaps we will know soon. Keep on receding Polar Icepack. I hope that this doesnt mean that some Progressives will also Thaw Out, of course, they would just Migrate north to Russia. Sorry for all you sensitive types, I just couldn't help myself.
