Lester, I was a big fan of Paul Harvey as well. I have that audio downloaded on my computer and listen to it now and then. It gives good insight into what is happening in the world today.

Lester, I remember that one!!  Excellent!  I remember he would always talk about his home in Phoenix (I think in  the Biltmore area.  His main home was in Chicago.  He wousay how much he loved landing in Phoenix and see the palm trees in the middle of winter.

My Step-Grandfather, I never knew this until I had grown up, helped raise me, he was a real gentleman. He was a great example to me growing up. He was a Diesel Mechanic at Arizona Sand & Rock, in Tempe, Arizona, and maintained atll the Trucks, the conveyors, all Diesel Equipment. The Doctor told him after his Fourth Sunstroke, that another one was likely to Kill him, so he and my grandmother sold the three houses they owned and moved to Gunnison, Colorado. He had to because of heat, and so Gunnison, which was at 6000 feet in altitude, below freezing until mid-June, and started snowing again in mid-August. I spent some summers there, I remember waking up with it so cold that I had two Quilts on my Cot, and my Grandad stoking Coal in the :Pot Bellied Stove to warm up the house. My grandmother made Home Made Biscuits, and they got Eggs from  the local Farmers in the area in exchange for some of the Goods they sold in Hoyle's Variety on Main street in Gunnison. Back then the Farmers and Ranchers bought clothing, cloth, tools, and other things they needed at Hoyle's and exchanged Eggs, and Gold Coins, Silver Dollars,  Mercury head Dimes, Buffalo head Nickels, and copper Pennys dating clear back to when they were first made, to pay for the goods. My grandmother had grown up running stores since she had four brothers and was the oldest of all the siblings in her Family. My grandfather, Burge Hoyle, loved listening to Paul Harvey. Everyday seems like, and he would listen to Paul Harvey, and read the Bible. My grandfather believed in America. He believed if you could not work, you better cut down on your food intake. During the depression, he would not take a Government subsidized Job, he considered it Socialism and would not tolerate it.

When they moved to Gunnison, granddad gave up Diesel Mechanic work, and started buying and selling homes, today they call it "Fix and Flip:" and when I graduated High School, the next morning at 5 AM he asked me if I knew how to drive, I said not real good, he threw me the keys and said Good, your driving us to Delta, Colo. and I and your grandmother are  going to sleep until I get more sleep then you can wake me up and I'll take over. He taught me to Roof a House, Paint, do Carpentry, Pour Cement, do Electrical to Code, estimate buying Lumber and Shingles, he taught me to do it all, and I got real hands on experience, so that by the time I went back to Arizona in the Fall my hands were Caloused and I had Money in my Pocket because he paid me by the hour. Quiet Courage and Calm Strength, a God-Fearing Man. I needed that example back then. I am assured I will see that God Fearing Man again. Wnen I get Where I'm Going by Brad Paisley pretty much covers it.

Frank. Paul Harvey's home was on the East side of the Biltmore Cir. For a long time it was the largest in Biltmore except for Wrigley Mansion I'm pretty sure.

I was listening yesterday, or maybe the evening before that, and it was on Facebook and someone had Posted a Minister who has a British or Scottish accent, which captures the attention of us Norte Americaners because of the novelty of how they pronounce words, and emphasis they place on sentences, anyway, Alistair was speaking of how  people seem to Miss the Very Simplicity of the offer of Jesus Christ's Salvation. Its like an open Contract that allows you individually the Completion by way of Acceptance.Belief is affirmed by obedience.

So Alistair Begg said by way of Illustration  We have in the Bible the Thief on the Cross, crucified alongside Christ, and the Thief is at the Pearly Gates and an Angel is questioning him about how he came to be there, and the Angel asks him not a Series of Questions about what he believes such as whether he believes in the inerrancy of Scripture, or whether the Sacrament is symbolic or actually becomes the body and blood of Christ, No, the Angel asked the Thief "So why are you Here"? the Thief answered  'You know the Guy on the Middle Cross, He said I should Come"!

We can get all Tied Up with our own Failings and Regrets, Doubts, Shouda Coulda Woulda's, but Salvation is not the Rigors of obtaining a Doctorate in anything. The Thief showed up. That's it. Show Up.

Regarding the SUPERB OWL (sic) today.

Although I don't have a dog in this fight, I'm pulling for a threepeat....just to see what happens in the aftermath.

P.S.  There is One National Anthem....and that's the original one.  PERIOD.

3.  Loved the stomp, stomp dancing.  So cool.

4.  The "dancing" looked like me in 8th grade.  No rhythm...or at least no moves.

WHAT DID YOU THINK OF LADY GAGA'S PRE-GAME SONG ON BOURBON ST?

1.  It was great.

2.  It was beautiful.

3.  I could understand the lyrics....so I liked it.

Kelly, evidently, you fell asleep and missed the last score by the Chiefs. Final, 40-22. I'm a lifelong Chiefs fan who bet heavy on the Eagles. After watching every Chiefs game this year, I knew the offensive line for the Chiefs sucks. Hard to complete passes when you are running for your life or laying on your back.

Lester. Your right! I got distracted by food, and then it was the Lombardi Trophy How about the comparative sizes I think 1990 Ave offensive lineman 6'3 238 pounds, this one off lineman Avg 6'6 303 pounds. Go for McDonald's Large Fries

I like quizzes or polls.  Here's one for you.  CHOOSE one....only one.

1.  POLITICS...NOT RESULTS!!

2.  RESULTS...NOT POLITICS!!

When the results are tabulated, I'll tell you which political party is represented by each answer...In my opinionsmiley.
