Greg Schindler got me in trouble in every class I shared with him.  He often sat behind me because of the alphabetical order of Rothman - Schindler.  His comments were outrageous.  He was radical, sarcastic, and hilarious.  I loved him.  He belonged in NYC.  He'd whisper his running commentary on the teacher, the subject matter, the weather, life - into my ear until I turned around, stopped listening to the class, started laughing at Greg and whap!!! I'd hear my name called and I'd be in trouble.  Who could resist having one's own personal Don Rickles?

Greg - what happened to you?  Where did you go?  I'd sure like to know.  It's fifty years later and I still remember your voice, your wit, your intelligence, your friendship.  You made a difference in my life during those years at Camelback High School. Thank you, my old friend.   Wherever you are, I wanted you to know.....

yes jan, i was madly in love with greg. i had never met anyone with such wit before nor after. we would throw comments at each other nonstop. i'm confused about his being in memorium as he actually lived with my husband and i in san francisco in 75 and when we moved to seattle we ran into him in 88 as well as 92 in seattle..  i wonder where the inf  that he had passed came from. strange. i lost contact with him around 95ish. i know he had a heart attack down in texas at one point but moved to seattle after that. i i actually found an address for him in seattle throw tracking page a few years ago. miss him more than anyone!!

You knew the same Greg I knew!!!  That makes me so happy.  He must be hovering around this year.  His presence is felt.

Greg was such a fun and witty guy!  I was lucky to be on the Shield yearbook staff with Greg and we all enjoyed his personality in a very unstructured setting allowing for lots of quips and chatting.  I am so sorry that there is no information about his incredibly untimely passing.  His loss is huge!  And, for every tear you cry, there are a thousands reasons to smile...  Rest in peace, Greg, many of us are still smiling...
