Thomas Clay Gerrard born March 7th, 1947, of Bulverde, Texas, was called home by the Lord on December 7th, 2015, at the age of 68. He was preceded in death by his father Herbert Bartlett Gerrard, Jr. and his mother Winona Hankins Gerrard. He is cherished and missed by his wife of 38 years, JoBeth Delahoussaye Gerrard; by his daughter Tracy Gerrard Augustine and her husband Thomas Augustine II, and their children Patricia and Joshua Augustine; by his son Clay Bartlett Gerrard and his wife Mandy McClung Gerrard, and their children Huxley, Cole, and William Thomas Gerrard; and also by his beloved sister Gayle Gerrard Myers. Additionally he is survived by a large loving family, many dear friends, and his enormous tabby cat "Alvin". Tom Gerrard served his country as a Navy Veteran, and retired from General Electric. He was a patriot and a Christian. He was a man of impeccable character, remembered for his decency and fairness, for being dependable and hardworking - he never passed up an opportunity to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed fishing, wood-working, and sarcasm. The memorial service will be held at Bulverde Baptist Church located at 1331 Bulverde Rd, Bulverde, Texas on Saturday, December 12th, 2015 at 11 a.m. A gathering for all friends and family will be held at Mr. Gerrard's home, located at 1043 Persimmon Hill, Bulverde, Texas 78163-5009.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in his memory.
