It appears that many of you would cut off Ukraine because they are using weapons and amunition that we had in storage .... I'm amazed at how weak you think we are.....and believe we have given our just in case supplies. The government isn't going to tell you what is actually stored away; we have weapons that are beyond our simple minds.  The Pentagon is visited by multiple representatives from defense industries...who continue to sell to us. look back to when they were flying the SR71 in White Sands and Nevada not to mention skunk works and area 51 and 52.  Look what happened when Pres Biden left over 7 billion dollars in Afganistand . yes we have given over 47 billion but we have had the opportunity to see what weapons work and make new and improved ones thats why the Pentagon is visited by so many sellers. We will always need a few good wars just for tests. If it was in the 1870's and we were reading Jules Verne wow imagined goods and name one we don't have now..... someone who believes this is hurting us think again..Yes we will increase the military budget its going to happen. 

A class country doesn't turn its back on someone we said we will help any more than leaving your wingman behind to suffer through any attack.

Mr. Lorts. Yes, we have a reserve stockpile of weapons, just like we USED to have a stockpile of oil to use for our emergencies and war. Biden seems to love giving away our defenses to the enemy. Im sure Ukraine would love to have some of the 85 hundred thousand dollars worth of military equipment Biden gave away to the Chinese in Afghanistan. Now Xi is supporting Putin in his war against Ukraine. I wonder how much of that equipment he will be sent to Russia. Putin could end up fighting Ukraine and us with our own weapons.

Just one more comment, then I'll let the rest of you go at it. I hold life as being a precious thing, and I do feel for all parents who have to go through the hardship of losing their child to a school shooting. We grew up in a time when schools were considered the safest place to be. Our parents didn't worry about us when we were at school. Every day now, I am concerned about the safety of my grandchildren and great-grandchildren who are in school, even though some of them are in safer red states that enforce the law. Damn those guns that do the shooting. They should all be arrested and locked away. Right? Of course, if his gun jumps out and starts shooting people, it's not the person's fault. Right? So the idea is to remove all firearms from lawful people who only want to protect themselves from these wayward guns. Now, back to reality. Biden and Mayorkis's Wide open and UN-secure border is not only allowing deadly drugs, gangs, and child traffickers in the country but also allowing firearms to flow freely in. What do you think these cartels have in mind? Do you think they are going to get a firearms dealer license and open up a gun shop where purchasers have to fill out a background check like you and I do? I don't think so. These firearms will be sold out of a car's trunk on a dark backstreet to anyone with the money. These people will rule the streets while those who protect themselves will be in jail. Is this a little too dramatic for you, Lorts? Then open your eyes and see what is really happening today.

GUN CONTROL 

I will only say that we(the US) don't need to reinvent the wheel. Australia has lived for last few decades with no mass killings because they enacted a sweeping law to take assault weapons out of circulation. 

This post will drive Jim insane. Maybe because he has no rebuttal. The Australian law is not theory, it's been proven. It boils down to, we need to love our children more than we love our guns.

Once again a mass shooter has committed a sickening crime and it comes out the shooter was under the care of a psychiatrist.  Although I believe In Patient-Doctor privilege, when it comes to a Doctor knowing their patient is dangerous I believe said Doctor has a responsibility to every other human to report that patient to authorities.  The murderer in the Parkland, Fl. High School Murders Got Life in Prison.  That's BS.  That kid should have already been put to death.  Canada, Australia, and New Zealand all have extremely strict gun laws but no Capitol Punishment. However, if you Google "Australia Mass Shootings" or "New Zealand Mass Shootings" or "Canadian Mass Shootings" you'll find that tough gun laws don't guarantee anything!!  In fact a murderer went into a Mosque in Quebec City and killed 6 and wounded 19.  The killer got Life in Prison w/ possibility of parole in 25 years.  So I don't want to hear about Australia Gun laws!!  One of the mass killings happened in Queenstown, New Zealand.  The shooter used a standard hunting rifle.  Not an assault weapon!!  Most Bleeding Heart Liberals are against Capitol Punishment.  Until criminals are heavily punished the crime will only get worse!!!

You failed to mention the results from Australia. Google it today and you will find that Australia has had no mass shootings since enacting the gun control in 1996. Murders have gone down nearly 50%. So you seriously think that the threat of capital punishment would have made a difference in this latest shooting. She wanted a suicide by police.

But I didn't fail to mention that there were many signs she might do this and nothing was done.  Her Parents and probably her Doctor may have prevented this.  I have said before that I don't think there is any need for high-capacity magazines but I understand why gun advocates think ANY changes create a slippery slope.  I wonder if this latest shooters Doctor or Parents were looking at her "social media"?

I have said this to you before;  Fund the military to bring our reserves up to what is needed.  3% increase in their budget ain't going to get us there, ya think? I am supportive of helping Ukrain with heavy oversight, not happening now. If your President did not invite Putin in for a " minor incursion" along with supplying the equipment needed from the get go, yes, we would not be in this to the extent we are. If you can't see that you are as blind to that as all the other disasters Braden has created. Bring oil reserves back to what is needed.

None huh?  I haven't looked at all of them but on May 11, 2018 6 were killed in a mass shooting in Osmington, Australia------On Dec. 19, 2014--8 children were killed with a knife in Cairns, Australia.  Yes, it wasn't a gun but it proves that if guns are outlawed crazy people will find another way to kill!!

The second amendment needs to be seriously updated. I don't want a war with China. China doesn't want a war with us. Most military analysts agree that if we entered in a war with China we would defeat them quickly. China does not have a stellar history in past conflicts.
